Jonathan Knight of boy band New Kids on the Block is among those keeping a close eye on Arizona this week, as Gov. Jan Brewer decides whether to sign or veto Senate Bill 1062. The bill expands Arizona’s definition of “exercise of religion” to protect businesses, corporations and individuals from lawsuits after denying services based on a sincere religious belief.
Despite COO Dan Cathy’s religious views, we don’t think Chick-fil-A was ever in the habit of turning away gays, and we doubt the chain would start now. (One store even had employees deliver water to the protesters outside.)
