It was last May when Dennis Rodman asked his good friend Kim Jong-un to do him a solid and release Kenneth Bae, an American citizen and Christian missionary who has been held in North Korea since November 2012 and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for committing “hostile acts” against the country.
Rodman made no headway on that front, and Thursday, President Obama called for the release of Bae during the National Prayer Breakfast.
“We pray for Kenneth Bae,” said the president, adding, “the United States will continue to do everything in our power to secure his release because Kenneth Bae deserves to be free.”
Unfortunately, his family is saying that Bae has been moved from the hospital to a labor camp.
