Florida Rep. Bill Young, the longest-serving Republican in Congress, has died at the age of 82. A handful of news outlets had mistakenly reported Young’s death yesterday before correcting themselves, describing him instead as “gravely ill.”
Young, who represented Florida’s 13th congressional district, was elected to Congress in 1971.
A very sad night on Capitol Hill, losing respected members like Tom Foley and Bill Young.
