Twitchy last week introduced you to Eric Holthaus, the meteorologist who claimed to have broken down in tears in an airport, vowing never to fly again and considering a vasectomy to help fight climate change. On Fox News’ “The Five,” Greg Gutfeld called out Holthaus, grouping him with other “dishonest hysterics who put drama before data.”
Holthaus apparently caught wind of Gutfeld’s rant via Slate’s account, but Gutfeld wasn’t about to back away from his “sniveling beta male” assessment.

Hey man, @EricHolthaus I just never heard of a man crying over a climate report at the airport, in public. With no witnesses

I'm just happy @greggutfeld's 4min discussion of climate chng (however one-sided) nearly doubled @FoxNews's time spent on the topic this yr.

@EricHolthaus not just a liar, but a lazy one. I've hit climate change regularly. But u were too busy fabricating stories of crying to see.
— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) October 3, 2013
I'm also disturbed @greggutfeld's follwrs prefer ppl (me) to commit suicide thn honestly discss an issue affecting both Repubs & Democrats.
— Eric Holthaus (@EricHolthaus) October 3, 2013
@EricHolthaus I hope you don't cry over it. Didn't you also claim you might get a vasectomy? seems like you love drama!

Bottom line: climate chg isnt an issue we're going to solve w/o working tgthr. I'd challenge @FoxNews & @greggutfeld to discuss it honestly.

@EricHolthaus @FoxNews I'm way more honest about it than you, because I leave out self-promoting emotions. @Bjornlomborg is the man.

Didn't intend to engage critics directly, but I do honestly believe climate change affects everyone. Every life is equally valuable.

All lives are equally valuable — if only there were fewer of them, Mother Gaia might stand a chance, huh?
