As Twitchy reported earlier, gunmen launched a terrorist attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya, reportedly telling Muslims to leave the area before opening fire. The al-Qaeda-linked Somali militia al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the group’s “press office,” @HSM_Press, has been tweeting its grievances and demands throughout the day.
Whoever is doing the tweeting claims to be in intermittent contact with the shooters inside the mall.
CNN is currently reporting “dozens” killed, with 31 seeming to be the most reliable number of confirmed casualties at the moment.
Kuffar, like infidels, is a derogatory term for non-Muslims.
For whatever reason, CNN is still being careful to enclose the word “terrorists” in quotation marks.
