Anthony Weiner’s communications director apologized Tuesday night for using “inappropriate language” to describe a former campaign intern who wrote an unflattering piece for the New York Daily News. Spokesperson Barbara Morgan unloaded on ex-intern Olivia Nuzzi with a string of names, but it was “slutbag” that caught the public’s imagination.

FWIW "slutbag" is not a novel coinage according to Urban Dictionary. Used as early as 2002 on HBO show "Six Feet Under."
