Those “mostly peaceful” protests following George Zimmerman’s acquittal weren’t so peaceful in Oakland, Calif., where protesters turned to looting, traffic obstruction, vandalism, flag burnings and violent assault to express their displeasure with the jury’s verdict. Oakland’s special brand of “non-violence” went on for days and possibly dovetailed last night with yet another protest march, this one to the Fruitvale transit station, where an unarmed teen was shot by transit police in 2009.
Today, the owners of the Hawker Fare restaurant are reporting more destruction, possibly at the hands of Oakland’s “local Anarchist political cult.”

Sad to see the terrific @hawkerfare which sought to bring affordable, inventive cuisine to Oakland apparently attacked by vandals.

@hawkerfare Sorry about what happened. People are really jackasses, messing with great local businesses in Oakland.

@hawkerfare That's horrible. Sorry you have to endure that crap.

Hey @hawkerfare you have been a generous and inspiring member of the Oakland food/beg community. Let us know how we can help.

That is an electrical box. Is it possible this was just an unfortunate accident?
Remind us why anyone would want to open a business in Oakland?
