The reviews are in, and Geraldo Rivera is praising President Obama’s lengthy statement today on the George Zimmerman verdict. Not everyone was so impressed: Tavis Smiley wrote off the speech as “weak as pre-sweetened Kool-Aid.” Rivera, though, applauded the president for “speaking frankly finally about race, justice and endangered African-American boys” and called it “a national crisis” that needs to be addressed.
The president must keep the focus on this critical issue only controversial figures like Rev Al seemed to care about; its a national crisis

Is Rivera suggesting that President Obama pick up the ball from Al Sharpton and run with it? Even Obama superfan and cable pundit Donna Brazile has said she’d prefer the president focus on jobs.
@GeraldoRivera truth talking?

@GeraldoRivera Obama stoked the fires. He is divisive – race, class, ethnicity. BO lacks the moral compass and integrity for leadership!
