New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte was among those thanking NBC News for acknowledging during this evening’s broadcast that New Hampshire does indeed exist. On Monday night, a map showing the location of the fiery train accident in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, misidentified New Hampshire as Vermont.
Tonight, anchor Brian Williams acknowledged the error and, as a show of good will, noted some of the state’s more high-profile contributions to the nation. It’s the home of the paper towel and comedian Sarah Silverman. Paper towels are cool, right?
