Hundreds of commuters were trapped on a Toronto-area commuter train this afternoon after it was flooded with feet of water, according to Global TV reporter Jeremy Cohn.

Update:

The good news is that help is on the way to those stranded train passengers. The bad news is that rescue crews aren’t quite certain what to do.

The rescue effort has continued into the night, with perhaps 1,000 passengers stranded for up to six hours.
