With the Rolling Stones’ “50 and Counting” tour at an end, it was time to kick back and watch some TV. Mick Jagger might have caught himself on the news, with his NSA spying zinger making the headlines. Or perhaps he happened across the president’s climate change speech at Georgetown University, where Obama was greeted like a rock star by adoring fans. In either case, Jagger noted that the president’s declared war on coal was “very refreshing.”
