The motivation behind a ricin-laced letter reportedly sent to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg appears to be clarified by a similar letter sent to the office of Bloomberg’s gun control group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Police aren’t saying much other than the letters contained “references to the debate on gun laws,” but some tweeters have already implicated the NRA — which has been doing just fine following legal channels, by the way.

So the NRA is now using ricin coated letters to defeat their enemies? I guess it was just a matter of time…

The last ricin case that made national headlines saw a bipolar Elvis impersonator falsely accused and set free. Who knows what this investigation will turn up?
They sent a ricin letter to Bloomberg? I hate the guy as much as the next New Yorker, but come one people. Grow up!
