Sen. Marco Rubio is likely taking more flak from conservatives than liberals these days, mostly for his endless campaigning for the Gang of Eight’s genuinely bipartisan and “almost utterly toothless” immigration reform bill. Fortunately, Sen. Bob Menendez is reporting that the bill doesn’t have the 60 votes in the Senate it needs to pass. That surely will anger Midler as well, who likes her Congress busy passing new legislation like they did in Truman’s day and the IRS cracking down on the president’s political enemies like it did under Nixon.
If Sen. Rubio is paying attention, we hope he takes notice of the good will his bipartisan efforts have won him.
@BetteMidler Yes! No real patriot would ever be dissatisfied with how the Congress has been run! You will be rewarded for your goodthink!
