Speaking of long-term unemployment, how is the president’s laser-like focus on jobs holding up? He’s so focused, he had to shut down his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness so as not to be distracted by all of those meetings. No, those shovel-ready jobs weren’t quite as shovel-ready as expected (or promised), but that’s no reason to blame the president.

Yes, we meant to ask about that “decimated infrastructure.” We remember something about “70,000 structurally deficient bridges across the country” from the State of the Union speech. Is that where the $800 billion from the stimulus went?
