Freelance journalist Danny Gold tonight live-tweeted a “vigil” for 16-year-old Kimani Gray, who was shot and killed by two police officers in East Flatbush, New York, Saturday. Police allege Gray pointed a .38 caliber pistol at them. Gray is reported to have had a criminal record including breaking into a car, possession of stolen property, grand larceny and rioting.

Two were reportedly injured and one arrested following a candlelight vigil Monday night, and a Rite Aid store was looted.

Tonight’s vigil was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. but quickly turned violent.
