Say it ain't so: Twitter killing off TweetDeck apps

We can’t be the only ones who cringe whenever companies send out press releases saying they hope customers are “as excited about the future” as they are. Those words almost invariably mean change is coming, and a popular product or service is going away.

Today, Twitter announced that it is stopping development of the TweetDeck apps for AIR, Android and iPhone to focus on the web versions of the popular Twitter client.

So, are users as “excited about what the future holds” as the TweetDeck team claims to be?
