Bette Midler losing hope that hard-hearted cowards in Senate will pass assault weapon ban

Won’t someone think of the children? Bette Midler will, and she doesn’t understand why the people on Capitol Hill won’t. How long should it take to ban guns that kill kids, anyway?

The question remains, how can American lawmakers be so hard-hearted about their own children and the children of the folks who elected them?

We suspected those Republicans, at least, hated children, including their own, but maybe something else is at work that trumps even that.

@BetteMidler I want 2 call them names and get angry – but at this point I really just don't get it. Do they really hate the Pres that much?
