We’ve suspected for a long time that President Obama would like nothing more than to clear out the press, but it’s a little shocking to hear him actually say it — to a room full of reporters, no less.
President Obama and the press are best friends forever; we have no doubts about that. The relationship has hit a bit of a rough patch since the inauguration, though, with reporters openly expressing their displeasure over being shut out of the president’s golf date with Tiger Woods. Today’s snub at the National Governors Association meeting did little to smooth things over.
Obama: "What I want to do is clear out the press so we can take some questions." Strikes me as a bit ironic, no?

Obama tells Govs. it's time to clear out the press so he can take some questions. (umm shouldn't we be able to watch that too?)
