If we’ve learned anything from the White House’s official “We the People” petition site, it’s that it’s one way to get the media’s attention, and maybe even the president’s attention, if he feels like being bothered. The White House has weighed in (lightly) on the movement to deport Piers “Musket” Morgan and released the secret White House beer recipe. It’s a long shot, but maybe a petition is the way to get the Senate to finally pass a budget. Rep. Tim Griffin (R-Ark.) has signed on, along with about a thousand others so far. Hey, it’s progress.
Someone just started WH petition to require Senate 'to pass a budget for the upcoming fiscal year as required by law.' http://t.co/QM19Khtp

The text of the petition is short but sweet:
WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:
require the U. S. Senate to pass a budget for the upcoming fiscal year as required by law.
Is this the craziest White House petition yet?
