If the Internet has taught us anything, it’s that Chuck Norris is tough. How tough?
In a recent article on shooting enthusiast site Ammoland, Norris takes the fight to Boy Scouts of America board member Jim Turley, suggesting that the Ernst & Young CEO’s close ties with the Obama administration are behind efforts to overturn a BSA policy banning gay Scouts and leaders.
In a massive reversal of Twitterverse policy, Norris is now on the receiving end of a flurry of roundhouse kicks.
All Chuck Norris jokes should now end with "…but turns out he's a gun-nut homophobe." Pathetic and disgusting. http://t.co/BKPVEb0y

I'm going to fist fight Chuck Norris over gay rights. I will fight for @Honeybuckle and all other gay guys. Someone tell that pussy Chuck.

Y'know what? FUCK Chuck Norris. Seriously. Enough pretending this retrograde dipshit is even "ironically" cool. http://t.co/52GIZSBW

Hey Chuck Norris. I'd rather have a gay man be in charge of my son than a straight Jerry Sandusky any day. #tastetherainbow

For what it’s worth, Norris’ stance on homosexuality is well-known to those paying attention; he was vocally involved in debates over California’s Proposition 8. The Ammoland piece currently causing an uproar is more concerned with the connections between the Obama administration and the Boy Scouts. Says Norris:
Is it a coincidence that a couple of months ago, Obama reversed his position on marriage, extending the union to gay couples, and that Turley just came out of the closet in his position against the BSA’s position?
It seems the vast majority on Twitter aren’t concerned with any conspiracy Norris may have uncovered, though. Support of the gay ban is more than enough to pick a fight. Norris is tough, but is the meme tough enough to survive this?
