Disney is poised to have a record-breaking year at the box office in 2019. It has already scored with historic numbers for “Avengers: Endgame”, and currently Will Smith stars as “Aladdin” in yet another hit. Still ahead for the Mouse House is “Toy Story 4”, the sequel to “Maleficent”, and Thanksgiving will bring “Frozen 2”.
This summer it may have its biggest hit, with the live-action remake of its classic, “The Lion King”. In order to stoke expectations the studio released a series of character posters, and fans of the beloved characters have mostly “squeeeed”.

Except for one. It seems that the true-to-life renderings have cause one animal star to appear too real for some.

they should have worked on making pumbaa more cute instead of focusing so much energy on making zazu look exactly like john oliver pic.twitter.com/fggQ4jIjyP

Okay, we can see that.
If I had half the confidence of this "John Oliver IS Zazu" poster I'd be running a Fortune 500 company pic.twitter.com/PLSW9xeTV0

Looking forward to Zazu's intensely detailed and comedic take on the rise of nationalism in the Pride Lands. pic.twitter.com/fncrY1NaiB

I will not be weighing in on the "horrifying photorealistic Pumbaa" discourse as I'm still haunted by feelings of complicity in body shaming toothy Sonic out of existence
