Hope-and-name-change has arrived in Riviera Beach, Florida where a section of Old Dixie Highway that runs through town has be renamed after President Obama:

According to reports, this will create this first intersection of streets named after MLK Jr. and the president:

The City Council voted in August to change the highway’s name inside the city limits. The first intersection of roads named after Obama and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. will be in Riviera Beach, city officials say.

Some speakers at that August Council meeting didn’t think the street name Old Dixie was a good representation of the city.

Exit question: Since President Obama is renaming mountains in Alaska with their historic Native American names, shouldn’t roads in Florida do the same?
