Dorian Johnson, who was with Michael Brown when Brown was shot¬†by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson last summer, is now suing Ferguson and the police department claiming Wilson ‚Äútargeted him without probable cause.‚ÄĚ
Now keep in mind that Johsnon, as the closest eyewitness to the shooting, ‚Äúseems to have originated the ‚Äėhands up, don‚Äôt shoot‚Äô narrative.‚ÄĚ A narrative that in the words of the Washington Post‚Äôs Jonathan Capehart, ‚Äúwas built on a lie.‚ÄĚ And now he‚Äôs the one suing? Disgusting:
Yes. Where is that perjury charge? And this:
However, there is some confusion on Twitter with some suggesting that Johnson is only suing for $25,000, but that’s not the case. KSDK reports:
Johnson is seeking damages in excess of $25,000 for each cause of action. His lawsuit includes four causes of action.
In other words, this isn’t just a nuisance lawsuit hoping for a settlement and he really does want to cash in, even though it was his misinformation that led to the widespread looting and rioting in Ferguson.
