The fact that writer and director Joss Whedon deleted his Twitter account so soon after the massive U.S. premiere of “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” has many people wondering why, and especially why now? Isn’t the film hugely popular? It is with most, but Whedon had been receiving quite a large number of angry tweets over the past week, particularly in reference to his portrayal of the character of Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow.
It’s no surprise that liberal comedian Patton Oswalt felt the need to get a dig in at the Tea Party in his tweet, but if it helps him admit that it’s progressives who drove Whedon to delete his account, then so be it.
These mild spoilers probably give the best overview of the criticism Whedon has been receiving and won’t ruin the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.
Now take that and multiply it by the hundreds.
So, this is the “Tea Party” wing of progressivism at work?
