Grover Norquist has an astute observation on the timing of Obama’s tax-increase proposals

We posted earlier today about Amanda Carpenter and her tweets on how “utterly tone deaf and disconnected” President Obama is from the American people in response to news that the he will propose a slew of new tax increases in Tuesday’s State of the Union address, but Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax reform, noticed something even worse. President Obama’s new proposals are all just political theater:

Norquist then elaborated while discussing his tweet with readers:

Again, bingo. The president knew these tax increases would have hurt Democrats in races in 2010, 2012 and 2014 so he never even bothered to suggest them then.
