Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker managed to deliver his state of the state speech in just 28 minutes Tuesday night but managed to cover a lot of ground. As did New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie this afternoon, Walker managed to work in some shots at Washington, D.C., as well as at fellow governors who are shaping up to be contenders in 2016.

One of the evening’s biggest applause lines was Walker’s pledge to repeal Common Core State Standards.

Even though the administration couldn’t find a high-profile representative to attend the unity march in Paris on Sunday, Walker made sure to acknowledge the terrorist attack and denounce the “cowards” behind it.

If the theme of Christie’s speech was “renewal,” Walker’s could very well have been “Packers.”

Take that, Cowboy Christie.

Update:

Here’s photographic proof of Walker’s quest for hugs.
