Yesterday, Secretary of State John Kerry said that the U.S. is not at “war” with ISIS, but rather engaged in a “very significant counterterrorism operation.”
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest apparently didn’t get Kerry’s memo:
Earnest later made things very slightly less murky. Or is it more murky? You be the judge:
So the U.S. is not at war with ISIS because ISIS is at war against everybody including the U.S.? Now we’re getting somewhere. Or maybe not.
