Oh yes they can.
As Twitchy reported, a video showing Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber admitting in 2012 that residents of states that don’t establish their own health insurance exchanges won’t receive Obamacare subsidies has been making the rounds and sticking in liberals’ already-crowded craws. But as we all know, it’s not really a party until Ezra Klein shows up. Fortunately for us, the King of the JuiceVoxers didn’t disappoint:
1. These comments from Jon Gruber are so bizarre and fascinating: http://t.co/I5m87cWLZT
— Ezra Klein (@ezraklein) July 25, 2014
2. I interviewed him dozens of times in this period and never heard anything like this.
— Ezra Klein (@ezraklein) July 25, 2014
3. The same is true for literally everyone else I interviewed. I never heard a single person say subsidies don’t work in federal exchanges
— Ezra Klein (@ezraklein) July 25, 2014
4. Every health writer/wonk everywhere would have freaked out if that’s how they thought the law worked. But none did.

Awwwwww.

Ezra Klein's J-School professors must be so proud.
What's that? …oh.

"I interviewed Gruber dozens of times and he not once ever answered a question I never asked him.. I don't get it!" @ezraklein

.@ezraklein So, basically, you're saying that you live in a self-imposed enclosed bubble of ignorance and epistemic closure.

You doing ok under your desk there @ezraklein? Can I get you anything? Warm milk? Ovaltine?

So @ezraklein is saying that since he never heard anyone say subsidies wouldn't work on state exchanges then Halbig is wrong? Ooooook.

Hey @ezraklein, when you're "on the team" you tend not to ask serious/critical questions. pic.twitter.com/EuGbpLQBPB
— Derek Hunter (@derekahunter) July 25, 2014
(Whispers ever so gently in @ezraklein's ear) You sit on a throne of lies.
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) July 25, 2014
So according to Ezra Klein, the architect and main advocate behind Obamacare never told him the drawbacks…

.@ezraklein or- alternative is the writers/wonks you converse with have zero clue what they're actually talking about- which is PREPOSTEROUS
— Nino (@baldingschemer) July 25, 2014
If only there was a place @ezraklein could go to have this all explained for him..
