Blogger Kevin Rothrock notes that in the last 24 hours, based on Twitter activity, Russian interest in Ukraine has been twice that of the Winter Olympic Games. “While it’s no surprise that Internet users are drawn to the revolutionary display in Kiev,” writes Rothrock, “it is remarkable that the host of the Winter Olympics seems to have lost its home audience to a foreign event.”
More people are currently watching the protests in Kiev, Ukraine than the Sochi Olympics.

If you're remotely conscious of Russia-Ukraine geopolitics is anything weirder than seeing Kiev updates & Sochi ra-ra in the same timeline?
