You might have heard that the glitches keeping people from creating accounts at HealthCare.gov are due to excessive demand for Obamacare; that’s what the president said, at least. But not even former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs is buying that one, calling the rollout a “bungled” mess that has been “excruciatingly embarrassing” for the White House.

Gibbs specifically noted that too many people trying to load the site was not the root of the problem; so much for that excuse, then.

Gibbs isn’t alone in wanting to see people fired over the government’s ridiculously broken website. National Journal’s Ron Fournier said that the administration should “roll heads” over the “inexcusable” rollout because of its effect on people’s confidence.

Finally, Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts has called for Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to resign over the “systematic, profound and indisputable” problems with HealthCare.gov … and that’s only two weeks in. Just wait until the website starts working and the real problems begin.
