Tom Clements, executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, was shot to death at his home Tuesday night.
Speaking at a press conference this morning, Gov. Hickenlooper called the murder an “act of intimidation.”
TheDenverChannel.com reports that the shooter is still on the loose and authorities are investigating. No motive has been mentioned and in published reports, authorities do not give any indication that the shooting was an “act of intimidation.”
Hickenlooper reportedly said that “we don’t know enough” about the killing at this point in the investigation and the motive is unclear.
He doesn’t know enough, but he can suggest that this was an “act of intimidation”? Best to not worry about details like that. Time to go ahead and sign that anti-gun legislation. Forward!
