So, who will be the last “real journalist” to admit that grieving Newtown parent Neil Heslin wasn’t “heckled” or “shouted down” at a public hearing? Slate and Anderson Cooper have admitted that an edited version of events that’s been widely disseminated via social media is misleading. Even Piers Morgan “apologized” in a way, though he immediately repeated the “shouted down” lie during his broadcast.
It looks like MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell is holding out despite all evidence to the contrary. Why not double down and call anyone who spoke up a “gun nut”?
Serious question: does Lawrence O’Donnell really want to be known as the journalist who is less credible than Piers Morgan?
