The lapdog media helpfully provided cover for President Obama’s move indoors from Bank of America stadium last night, as the campaign cited fears of rain, flooding and even lightning. NBC’s Andrea Mitchell and CNN’s John King praised the gutsy call via Twitter on behalf of the tens of thousands who would have been stuck outdoors in long lines at the mercy of a budding monsoon.
The President’s appearance in Iowa City, Iowa, this evening is on, though, despite a 90 percent chance of rain. Apparently, in light of last night’s state of the union address, no one’s worried about lightning striking this venue.
