Technically speaking, Media Matters’ Eric Boehlert did not use the word “gutless” to describe the former special forces officers who appear in a 22-minute video criticizing President Obama for taking too much credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden. His tweet from yesterday clearly shows he said they “don’t have guts.”

A day later, Boehlert claims the backlash against him is the product of “mindless fabrication and distortion” by the right wing media.
I never used the word “gutless.” Right-wing media is doing what it does best – mindless fabrication and distortion. (2/2)

The Left has long charged that conservatives “don’t do nuance.” Please stop being irresponsible by misinterpreting the highly nuanced Boehlert.
@EricBoehlert You said that the SEALs "have no guts." Same thing as calling them gutless. No spin there; those are your own words.

@EricBoehlert Oh give me a break. You said "don't have the guts" = "gutless." Such a liar.

I never said @EricBoehlert was a jabbering idiot, I said he was an idiot who jabbers.

Will #GutsyEricBoehlert meet with the SEALs in person to clear up this misunderstanding for good?
