Our celebrity president dropped his “man of the people” mask last night during a $40,000 a plate fundraiser at the home of commoners Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. The star-studded 1 percent crowd got to hear how much more important they are than those 99 percent plebs.
“You’re the tie-breaker,” he said. “You’re the ultimate arbiter of which direction this country goes.”
Obama has celebrities at the wheel, but he thinks the GOP is driving the car into the ditch?
Just think about this for a moment:
Shudder. Man of the people? Or man of the beautiful people?
But remember, it’s Mitt Romney who’s “out of touch,” not the celebrity elbow-rubber who believes Hollywood elites have the ultimate power to decide the country’s direction.
Mr. President, if celebs are the ultimate arbiters, does this mean Booooooosh! is no longer responsible for the country’s fate?
