Last night, the Twittersphere noticed something strange happening with VP Live, one of Vice President Joe Biden’s official Twitter accounts.
The account was tweeting about the Republican National Convention, but in a positive way.
Were they hacked?
It turns out these tweets were the result of the convention using a Twitter Mirror, an iPad-like device, to tweet about the event and as a result of technical difficulties the VP’s twitter was still logged on.
Oddly, @VPLive (official acc) tweeted (now deleted) videos from #RNCinCLE, despite @vp being in Syd CC @GdayPatriots pic.twitter.com/UXZNvkurDJ

Appears that @VPLive has been hacked. Or Uncle Joe is just playing with us right now… #RNCinCLE
