You'll Never Guess Which Company Wants To Trademark Brexit

With all the hysteria caused over the British exit from the European Union, or more commonly referred to as Brexit, it was only a matter of time until a company tried to capitalize from the event.

Ironically enough, that company is none other than Sam Adams, the famous American brewing company. Sam Adams filed the trademark application the day after the Brexit vote, and they intend to create a Brexit hard cider to sell in the United Kingdom if they get the trademark.

It looks the British may soon be able to drink some Brexit hard cider to forget about the pains of the actual Brexit.

This move makes sense for the company because the UK has a much larger hard cider market than the US, according to Fortune. The U.S. cider market makes up over 1 percent of the alcohol market, whereas the U.K cider market makes up close to 8 percent of the alcohol market.
