According to TMZ, Reynolds suffered a possible stroke Wednesday while at her son Todd’s Beverly Hills home. She was rushed by ambulance to a nearby emergency room after someone called 911.

Actress Reynolds, 84, was “distraught” following her daughter’s death Tuesday, the site reported. She wrote a message on Facebook saying, “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carrie’s Mother.”

Reynolds and her son were reportedly talking about funeral plans when the medical emergency occurred.
