'Oh God, the WEAKNESS': Hillary spox says she won't debate Bernie in N.Y. unless he changes his 'tone' [video]

Earlier today, CNN’s Kate Bolduan pressed Clinton campaign strategist Joel Benenson on whether or not Hillary would be willing to debate Bernie Sanders in New York:

Here’s video, via The Hill:

More from The Hill:

“This is a man who said he’d never run a negative ad ever. He’s now running them. They’re planning to run more,” Joel Benenson, Clinton’s chief strategist, said on CNN. “Let’s see the tone of the campaign he wants to run before we get to any other questions.”

“Sen. Sanders doesn’t get to decide when we debate, particularly when he’s running a very negative campaign against us,” he continued.
“Let’s see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was going to set early on. If he does that, then we’ll talk about debates,” Benenson added.

Refusing confrontation unless her opponent changes his “tone”?

Well, whaddaya know? Guess that’s something else Hillary and Trump have in common!

True story.

But back to Hillary: A woman who’s not afraid to back down from a challenge. Except when she is.
