Fauxcahontas hasn’t officially endorsed anyone yet, but this morning, she did share her thoughts on what we should look for in our next president:

Yeah … about that:

Ha!

Who’s buying it? Nobody who knows that Hillary Clinton belongs behind bars.

    • DeplorableMessMan ✔ JesseMessy

Very true…and even if we grant that Liz meant Hillary, she (Liz) doesn’t actually mean “indict Hillary, since NO Democrat will dare call for this. Hence Liz’s coy parsing: She just wants Hill to drop out & make way for Bernie, that’s all.

      • cumiadom

Regardless of whether Hillary keeps running or not, she must be indicted. If for nothing else but to prove that no one is above the law. But what kind of compromising secrets she may have to blackmail Obama might make the difference and she will use that as a Get out of Jail card.

        • DeplorableMessMan ✔ JesseMessy

Great googly-moogly, did I say she must NOT be indicted? No; what I said was that she won’t be indicted by this O’dministration which will in fact find a way (“preemptive pardon”) to make sure she never gets prosecuted. How do I know this? You just said WHY the O’dmin will do nothing…And save your keystrokes in case you feel like pounding Congress about this, since anyone with constitutional know-all knows that Obama can’t be stopped unless he’s removed (NOT just “impeached” but removed) AND there aren’t enough Senate-Repubs for a supermajority. (And don’t misread Liz Warren either since all she wants is for Hillary to drop out & endorse Bernie.) I know all about the law, Cumiadom…I know about REALITY too, which you should try sometime.

I have been saying for a long time that something like that is the plan. When Warren said that she would not run as long as Hitlary was running, that was Liberalese for “Take the witch out for me so I can run”. And Obama will do it for her. Hitlary will get indicted, have no doubt about that.
That will complete the takeover of the Democrat party by the ‘progressives’ (read “communists”).
The Dummycrats goofed up when, in a mad quest for power, they allowed the communist vermin into their party. They thought that they would be able to control them. Wrong.

I still have my money on Hillary being indicted right after the new year and Obama pardoning her as he walks out the door, hopefully clipping him in the ankle so he can’t play golf for 6 months.

    • kennyraisin

I would have to agree that an indictment is imminent and will be concluded before Obama is out of office. The reason being if it bleeds over to a Republican presidency, Obama stands a good chance of being indicted as a coconspirator.

      • rflora85

Another likely scenario: They go after the poor schmucks who actually removed the secured messages from the secured network and sent them to her unsecured, claiming they should have “known better”. Either way, I will be completely shocked and will need to re-evaluate how I view politics if she’s indicted and fully prosecuted. I just don’t see it happening because she’s got the right letter next to her name.

        • Gregor Eisenstein

Well, indeed they should have known better and every single one of them should also be prosecuted. Hillary couldn’t have broken the law without being enabled by those who wouldn’t stand up to her and tell her ‘no, that’s against the law.’

        • Wurgeat

In a normal case, two or three of the “schmucks” would plead out to lesser charges in return for their testimony against the ringleader.

          • rflora85

Normal people without political and business connections would already be in prison.

No. They want Warren to run.
Taking Hitlary out is part of the ‘progressives’ plan, and Obama will do it for them.
Hitlary is toast. She will not be brought down by a nonexistent “vast right wing conspiracy”, but by a very real vast left wing one. One that she helped to create.
            Poetic justice.

      • Wurgeat

King B’Rock can pardon himself on his way out of the door, and leave Hills hanging out to dry. If he gets a Republican successor, he knows his media friends will put him on TV every single day to complain about the new POTUS.

          • MrNishida

Every day, nonstop, 24/7. Just the thought of it makes me want to puke.
Before anything can get done, job 1 by the new potus will be to expose him and destroy him.
            Otherwise, nothing will get done.

          • weakglovehand

and you thought Carter was a PIA. BHO will set a new record for classlessness on his way to the head of the UN.

        • MrNishida

Unless that new potus uses the power of the government to expose the truth about Obama, and utterly destroys him. Make public everything the government knows about him (and I’m sure a lot of people will sing if given the choice of jail or immunity), the things Obama has ordered sealed and buried.
Destroying Obama and his ‘legacy’ will be job one, because a new potus will not be able to get squat done otherwise.

          • Wurgeat

I agree that he needs some kind of serious smackdown (not necessarily prison), otherwise he successors will go even farther with the abuses of power.

          • bxarmybrat

You could start with all of the Flag Officers forced out by Obama.

        • bxarmybrat

I don’t think he could pardon himself but he could resign and have Uncle Joe pardon him on his way out the door.

    • Perso Nasplit

The question would be CAN he pardon her….

Actually, to pardon her she has to be convicted first, but to grant amnesty for the crimes committed she doesnt have to be tried.

      • Perso Nasplit

“The President…shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”

That would be an impeachable offense, and thus he couldnt grant amnesty before a trial. He can commute the sentence though.

        • rflora85

I thought Nixon was pardoned, though. Was he found guilty before Ford pardoned him? And let’s be frank, this is so much worse than anything Nixon ever did. I see this in the conspiracy-to-commit-felonies realm. I wish I was alive during Watergate so I had a frame of reference with my own eyes and ears. The media tends to blow republicans’ scandals out of proportion, while the democrats always get a pass of the ends justifying the means. I can hear it now, “If the point is for her to read the email, what difference does it make how she reads them?”

          • Owl

Nixon had articles of impeachment voted on at the committee level in the House, and resigned before the full House could vote.

          • Mike Peterson

Nixon was not impeached, he resigned, and Ford pardoned him, (basically granting him amnesty) as I understand it, it meant Nixon couldn’t face criminal charges for what happened. I believe the wording means a president cant grant himself amnesty to avoid being impeached.

          • Perso Nasplit

I could be mistaken, but like clinton wasnt he found guilty but not impeached?

          • bxarmybrat

            Clinton was impeached, Nixon wasn’t.

          • Enough

I watched the Nixon hearings in detail. Nixon’s offenses were real, but TRIVIAL in comparison to Obama’s and Hillery’s offenses in the last 7 years.

          • bxarmybrat

The media which was then the networks and the NY Times covered every aspect of Watergate constantly, the PBS stations covered the House and Senate hearings as well.BTW the left considered ‘the ends justify the means’ to be reprehensible as that was Nixon’s philosophy.

          • rflora85

So, the vilification of the right is a new concept? Some how, I don’t think you’re correct. The ends justifying the means is the left’s mating call and has been since the 60’s. I think you’re confusing what they say with what they do, which wraps around to my original point: I wish I saw it with my own eyes, instead of biased and opinion-filled memories.

Look, I’m not giving Nixon any props here. I’m saying they are hypocrites for slamming the gauntlet down on Nixon but are giving Hillary pass after pass because Nixon was a Republican and Hillary is a Democrat.

          • bxarmybrat

They are certainly hypocrites, the left didn’t like the right appropriating their tactic of choice. Nixon’s men were overzealous especially for Republicans. There was a great book out in the late 70’s called “It didn’t start with Watergate” which highlights the left’s selective amnesia over past Presidential indiscretions. It’s probably out of print but you might find it on Amazon.

          • rflora85

I’ve only been able to comprehend politics since 1996 when Clinton ran against Bob Dole. I remember everyone being so worried about Dole’s age, then McCain’s in 2008. All of a sudden, the left is unconcerned with the age of Bernie “runs as an independent because there is no way he could be elected as part of the socialist party” Sanders. You should see my friends clapping and giggling for this dinosaur. I am shocked and a bit dismayed with my friends’ sudden hypocrisy on practically every single issue brought in front of them. They stare at me like a deer in headlights when I bring up their hypocritical statements. I’m so sick of it and I’m so sick of explaining to these political newbs that half this sh_t has been tried before and failed miserably.

I will definitely try to find that book. Also, do you know of any well-written books pertaining to why Osama and the gangs of the middle east have so much hate for the US? I feel like Charlie Wilson’s War touched on it a bit but I’m having a hard time believing it’s because we didn’t replace their livestock after the Soviet-Afghan conflict. Maybe it really is that simple?

I had a phone conversation with a liberal friend this evening. He proceeded to tell me how this nation had lost the ability to compromise (I fully agree on that point). He then told me how it was ALL the Republican’s fault. The lack of self-awareness and any sense of irony is just flabbergasting. Of course when your only source of information is the WaPo or the NYT, I guess being stupid is inevitable.

When I brought up DWS, Hillary, and Obama, he immediately changed the subject. This man VOTES people — and I think he’s firmly in the Hillary camp…

    • Kopernicus

You should press him on where the ‘compromise’ was on Keystone, or Obozocare (couldn’t compromise to get one RINO vote???), sanctions on Iran or anything else he felt above the legislative branch in doing.

      • SchroedingersDeplorableDog

Keystone is sorta binary; build it or don’t.

But there already -is- a Keystone pipeline, it’s in operation and working just fine. KXL is merely an extension, whose main purpose is to facilitate export of oil from Canadian tar sands.
I think it would be better to add refinery capacity here and use the cheap petro to bring manufacturing to the USA, rather than exporting raw materials. Exporting raw material is the lowest rung on the economic ladder.
If KXL were really good for the US, would lyin’ Ryan be in favor of it?

O’care. That’s like compromising with syphilis. The old system was cr-p, but O-no-care goes fully in the wrong direction.

Petraeus did nothing materially wrong. He was sharing his diary with …
his biographer, who had a Top Secret clearance. If someone’s writing your biography, your diary is a reasonable thing to show them. Technically, this was is some way a violation, but then in the mil there are enough rules that at any time, anyone who is actually doing anything is violating some rule somewhere.

Nope, it was about a personality conflict, and probably about a patriotism conflict. If Obama had it in for the guy, there’s an excellent chance he was committing the greatest sin in Obama’s eyes, which is working to honor and strengthen the USA.

    • LAPhil

Exactly. It’s now at the point where the Democrats are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
