What in the ever-loving hell …

Unfortunately it appears to be real. Here’s how the DC Abortion Fund (on Twitter heredescribes itself:

DC Abortion Fund (DCAF) is an all-volunteer nonprofit that makes grants to women in DC, Maryland, and Virginia who cannot afford the full cost of an abortion. DCAF affirms women as decision-makers. We hope to make “choice” a reality because we believe that a woman’s right to healthcare should not depend on her wallet.

And speaking of wallets, if you open yours and donate at least $10 a month to the cause of killing babies, you get a very special gift:

Take a look:

You’d be hard-pressed to find something more horrifying than that.

  • ceemack

That just HAS to be a parody…doesn’t it? Like The Onion or the Daily Currant, right?

    • audieho

Nope. It’s as real as the babies they rip apart. Imagine if there was this kind of reaction regarding the abortions themselves.

  • HuandaRulz

This is beyond sick. I really hope for a change in the institutionalized murdering spree that this abhorrent people keeps bragging on. They know they got the law on their side and the innocent count will keep on piling up. I feel so disheartened that our society allows the murdering of innocent children.

    • Fairfax51

Coat hanger abortions are an urban myth.

    • Sim

Ahh, you missed the byline in the ad. “Sign up now, and 100% of your donation will be used to buy a $10 coat hanger which will be sent to the first pregnant black woman we can find.”

    • The mom

You are so wrong, obviously you are not old enough to have known anyone who had one. My aunt had one during WWII, she almost died and was never able to have children after. No myth.

      • AMERICAN Kafir™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

So that makes it okay to glorify a dangerous and disgusting procedure? Even with ‘modern medicine’, some women STILL end up not being able to have children. No myth.

        • Dave

Any woman who would kill her baby doesn’t deserve to have one

          • someone45

A fetus/embryo isn’t a baby and abortion doesn’t kill anything. It stops the developing embryo/fetus from becoming viable.

          • MommaGator

And by viable you mean able to survive on its own, right? At what point do you think that occurs? Do you think that’s when human life actually begins? I would love to hear your thoughts.

          • conservativechick

Again, you are wrong! Why are you told you are pregnant if you’re NOT having a baby? It’s a BABY you’ve created. Sorry.

          • someone45

You are pregnant because the embryo/fetus has to use your life, body, and nutrients to develop into a baby…

          • Carrie Myers

Then why is it double homicide to kill a pregnant woman at any stage of pregnancy? Yet when the woman decides to kill it, it isn’t a baby? What a joke.

“The Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-212) is a United States law which recognizes a child in utero as a legal victim, if he or she is injured or killed during the commission of any of over 60 listed federal crimes of violence. The law defines “child in utero” as “a member of the species Homo sapiens, at any stage of development, who is carried in the womb”.[1]”

          • someone45

Because when someone kills a pregnant woman they are taking away her choice. They are deciding for her what happens. When she does it she is making her own choice about what happens to her body.

          • Del

The child’s body is not her body. Abortion is not controlling her body; abortion is killing the child.

Saying that it is okay to kill the child because she is growing in her mother’s womb is like saying that it is okay to own a slave because the slave is black. In other words, abortion and slavery only exist in a world where some people don’t have protection of their human rights.

          • someone45

The embryo/fetus is inside her body and cannot survive outside of it. Forcing her to let it use her as its host is saying she is second class with no rights.

          • Del

Saying that we can kill the child because the child is second class and has no rights is far more obvious and inhumane.

          • someone45

Well a fetus/embryo has no rights because it is 100% dependent on the pregnant woman for its existence. If the only way it can survive is to use her as its “host” then she has a right to decide if it stays inside her or not.

          • DixieAngel_76

By your twisted logic then, I guess it would be okay for parents who are tired of parenting to kill off their kids since they can’t survive without parents either, eh?

          • someone45

Anyone can care for the kid. They can put it up for adoption. They aren’t stuck with it if they decide they don’t want it.

          • AlyOop

She is second class. The baby is the one with no rights.

          • someone45

The “baby” should have no rights until it can survive outside of the woman’s body.

          • DianaFeb

Someone 45 is a troll. She also goes by ID wendy and Abby, as well as a few others. I don’t know why she is here, really.

          • Del

You must have missed out on high school science. A human fetus is a member of the human species in the fetal stage of development. Just like you, me, and every other human person — at one time, we were all human persons in the wombs of our mothers.

          • someone45

I just value the life and feelings of the woman who is actually alive over the non viable life of the unwanted pregnancy.

          • Del

The child is already living too, and deserves equal protection. And it is not loving to pressure the mother into murdering her child… that is a very difficult thing to make her live with, when we can give her much better help.

          • someone45

It is not loving to force her into the misery of pregnancy.

          • Del

There are many things we can do to help a woman in distress. The least loving thing we can do is to permit or even encourage her to murder her child.

Murdering the child is heinously unjust to the child, as well.

And you know these things are true. Why do you support the inhumanity of genocide toward the preborn?

          • someone45

The least loving thing you can do if force her to give up her happiness, her life, her dreams, her health, etc all so an unwanted fetus can ruin her life.

I support women making decisions about their own body. I would never tell a woman to have an abortion. I would never prevent her from having one either.

          • ChocolateGirl2

You have NO F’ING idea what your talking about! You probably have your ‘coat hanger’ pendant! USE IT!

          • someone45

Actually I know exactly what I am talking about. A pregnancy and a kid would destroy my life and everything good in it.

          • DixieAngel_76

No one’s forcing anyone into pregnancy. There’s a neat little thing called ‘birth control’, and it comes in many forms, most of which are incredibly cheap. Finally, there’s always that old fashioned method; abstinence.

          • someone45

Sex is for more than babies so I guess you are suggesting abstinence for life.

          • DixieAngel_76

If you valued life at all, you would no way support abortion.

          • someone45

I value MY life and the life of the people who would be harmed if I was no longer around. That is why I support abortion.

          • AlyOop

You must be a proud student of Dr. Gosnell.

        • RealityCheck131

wtf? Who said it was ok? Not the person you are replying to.

        • DixieAngel_76

Count my daughter among those women who can’t carry a baby to term. She was just 15 and it was arranged through her school. At least she didn’t die. Many still do.

      • Johnny Blade

if your aunt had a ‘coathanger abortion’ she did it herself, the underground abortions were still done using regular medical procedures… part of the urban myth about cathanger abortion is prior to Roe they were illegal… this is demonstrably false and can be disproven with minimal effort

        • The mom

You still know nothing of which u speak. Go away, I will not argue with an idiot. You do not know my aunts circumstance, what happened, ow how. And yet you argue the point. Just yo away.

      • QueenB

Guess what? Even with legal abortion, women die and become infertile. Also not a myth.

      • conservativemomma

Obviously they weren’t common because most women would not even consider killing their baby until recently when it has become popular. Sorry that your aunt chose to have one.

    • ?????

Don’t you wish girlie!!! I am old enough to remember it well. I remember my mother, aunts and grandmother always talking in whispers about it if the subject ever came up about someone’s daughter was or might be pregnant.

      • conservativechick

There is no “stigma” attached to being ‘pregnant out of wedlock’ in this century! Women DO have a choice…. the choice to get pregnant or NOT get pregnant. They have many ways to achieve either choice. Abortion is not needed. It’s just plain evil.

        • someone45

Unwanted forced pregnancy is not needed. THAT is plain evil. You don’t care at all about how it would destroy the woman’s life.

          • conservativechick

What the hell are you talking about????? What’s an unwanted forced pregnancy? If you are talking about the minute number of women who, in the past, have become pregnant from rape, that’s not even a valid argument any longer. IF that ever does happen, they have a morning after pill. The only one who doesn’t CARE about ruining a woman’s life is the ABORTIONIST!

          • someone45

Well an unwanted forced pregnancy is what anti-chocers what to do to women when they find out they have an unwanted pregnancy. They want to force them to carry it to term no matter how much it might destroy their life.

Sorry but an abortion would not ruin my life. An unwanted pregnancy would.

          • Gio

Gotta call BS on this one – the simple fact is – if you don’t want to get pregnant (or impregnate your partner) – take precautions.. use available birth control means or – OMG – abstain until you are protected – and yes, while there are those moments when all the stars align and a pregnancy occurs despite your best efforts to avoid that – take that as a sign that it was meant to be.. not as a sign that you have to potentially rid this planet of the next (fill in your choice of historical personage here) shining star.
Using abortion as an after the fact form of birth control is morally reprehensible – it is infanticide… If you aren’t ready to be a mommy or daddy, then do the world a favor and wait until you are ready. The number of cases where an abortion is performed as a result of rape or incest are incredibly minute – so much as to not make that a valid argument. So unwanted pregnancy is just a simple case of a lack of common sense and self control.
Children, sadly, don’t get to pick their parents. So if that is your concern – learn first how to exercise self-control.. and failing that, please get snipped – tube-tied – do whatever it takes for you not to procreate, because feeling that abortion is acceptable is so far past wrong-headed.
I will close with this observation – scientists the world over would be dancing in the streets if they found evidence of even a single living cell on another planet, moon, etc.. they would shout from the rooftops that they have found signs of life “out there”… and yet you claim that the miraculous bundle of cells, dividing, growing, taking shape into the form of a human being does not constitute life until it draws it’s first breath? wow… simply.. wow…

          • someone45

Birth control fails. It is not 100% even when used perfectly. A woman should never be punished when she does everything to prevent a pregnancy and ends up unlucky anyways.

I will never take an unwanted pregnancy as a sign that it was meant to be because I do not want kids. I do not want to give up my life for something I will never want. I will never be ready to be a mother because kids are something I will never want.

The only person’s body you have a right to control is your own…

          • DixieAngel_76

And a child should never be punished when her ‘mother’ is too selfish to put anyone’s needs ahead of their own wants. Oh, and for the record, if the baby’s DNA is different from the mom’s as it is 100% of the time, then it isn’t ‘her’ body’, now is it?

          • someone45

A embryo/fetus isn’t a child and only a cruel person would think forcing a woman to risk her health, happiness, and life for an unwanted pregnancy is a good thing.

          • DianaFeb

            Agreed.

            Don’t feed the troll.

      • conservativemomma

girlie?? Sad that you remember the woman in your family whispering about aborting babies.

      • DianaFeb

I am also old enough to remember it well. I was born in 1948.

You say that your relatives gossipped about someone who MIGHT have been pregnant? What difference does that make?

BTW: Your relatives don’t sound like very nice people.

Yet they proudly want to sell and give away wire hanger necklace for helping to kill the innocent unborn as liberal thank you gifts for the pro-abortion cause.

Liberal and Democrats have a weird twisted double standards and as always big hypocrites to the 10th degree.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

They have to keep the wire hanger image alive & well in order to perpetuate their line that if abortion isn’t available, women will HAVE TO resort to hangers and damage or kill themselves in the process. The thing is that no one HAS TO abort a baby. If you wait long enough, pregnancy resolves itself naturally.
The hanger is the closest they can come to generating pity for women who want to kill their babies.

  • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Often, a charity will say “check box if you do not want gift” on the slip you send back to them with your check/credit or debit card info. It’s to save however little in the cost of production and mailing of the knickknacks, allowing more to go to the work of said charity, in theory anyway.

You would think that in this instance, just from a good-taste standpoint, many people would want to do so here, damn the expense calculation. But of course, the Left pride themselves on all their symbolism– it just wouldn’t do for them to help a charity involved with a controversial cause like this one, and NOT want to wave it all around for the world to see, in their view of things.

And people, don’t beat my brains in for not “scare-quoting” the word “charity.” You may think it’s not a fit thing for a 501(c)(3) to be doing. Lois Lerner thought there were certain things not fit for a 501(c)(4) to be doing. Change the law if you don’t like it.

Or how about one of those paper weights with a baby in resin. I could see them doing that too. Sick people

      • Fairfax51

I think the whole coat hanger used for abortion must be urban myth. That sounds really stupid and dangerous to me. Oh, hell, these people are so sick, I can’t imagine they have any intellegence anyway.
Science is catching up though. Soon no one will be able to say a baby in the womb is not a baby. Can’t come soon enough.

        • Wart

Science has long said that a baby in the womb is a human baby. It is just the anti-science Libs who ignore the 7 qualifications of life.

          • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

This is why they don’t want abortion customers to see an ultrasound, and why they won’t let cast models of fetuses in their stages of development anywhere near a school where it might make an impression on the target market for abortion services.

          • MommaGator

Yes, and if we found even a single living cell on Mars, it would stand the entire scientific community on its ear. But to the pro-aborts even a pre-born baby that is recognizably human doesn’t qualify as “life”, because, you know, you have to dehumanize them to make yourself feel okay about killing them.

Depravity must really go deep for some. Like Silence of the Lambs sick and twisted. I think of the scripture “Be wise as a serpent, innocent as a dove”. We gotta know how black the dark is and stay in the light. Shine a light that darkness!

            John 3:19-20

      • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

By the time you have an abortion, you have already made a whole string of bad choices. The choice to have sex, apparently to have sex without birth control, to have sex with someone you wouldn’t want to raise a child with, the choice to put your own comfort over that of a child you created due to your own negligence or lack of self control.
And the pro-aborts will yipe, “But what about rape and incest?” A baby created through rape or incest has no less of a right to live than any other baby.

  • religionandhistory

Around the fall of 1972 I was listening to several feminists debate a conservative on one of the national networks . The gist of two of the abortion proponents was abortions would possibly peak around 1,500 or 2,000 but drop to around 500 , then only a few hundred annually nationwide after a couple years ! Their coat-hanger is a fitting symbol now of multiple millions of unnecessary deaths of innocents , sold to vulnerable women by just as many deliberate lies ! ” Coat hangers R US ” is the Democrat party brain child Planned Parenthood ! May God Almighty end all deliberate brutality and trespasses against innocent life !

    • MommaGator

Yeah, remember when Hillary was braying about keeping abortion “safe, legal, and rare”? One out of three is good enough for the pro-aborts. 56 million legal abortions since 1973 – NOT rare. They fight tooth and nail to keep abortion mills from being routinely inspected as all other surgical facilities are, claiming it restricts women’s access to “healthcare” (because unsterilized instruments and cat feces in the procedure room won’t hurt anybody). And they fight to keep the abortionists from being required to have admitting privileges at a hospital for those times when they *oops* puncture the woman’s uterus and she’s bleeding out on the table – NOT safe.

  • jtak101

These same morons stand in the rain outside prisons to protest the humane deaths of convicted killers.

Two: When Obamacare really kicks in, coat hangers are probably what these women are really going to be relegated to.

  • Kickass Conservative

As horrid as I find these baby-killing death-worshipers, I’m not really going to get worked up about the coat hanger thing. It’s their own (deceptive) meme that if we take their precious right to abort babies, then it’s all back alley, coat hanger abortions for everyone.

Meanwhile they ignore or idolize Gosnell.

Perhaps a few post-birth abortions are in order?

too bad it took 40 years. The writing was on the wall with him from before legalized murder. He was part of the Mother’s Day Massacre.

    • QueenB

What, women dying or becoming infertile because they killed their unborn baby? Guess what? Still happens. But usually, the white suburban girls get the better room and are better taken care of while the black women are subjected to dirty exam rooms. Ah well, at least Margaret Sanger’s dream is alive and well. Gotta break a few eggs, right?

      • TroubleAtTheMine

Recently I ran across some stuff online that quotes Sanger as being totally anti-abortion. She was pro-birth control, and pro-black eugenics through birth control, in fact she was a nasty piece of work, but apparently she was actually anti-abortion.

        • QueenB

So basically you’re saying Planned Parenthood is even worse than its founder?

Abortion as we know it is no safer for the baby.
Any attempts to regulate abortuaries to prevent the Gosnells of the world from butchering the mothers is fought off in the name of women’s rights. So, not only are you advocating the killing of babies who have every right to live, but you are advocating doing it in unsafe conditions.

    • MommaGator

It should be safe (or I should say, as safe as an invasive medical procedure can be), but have you heard of Kermit Gosnell? And he is far from being the only incompetent physician to have a filthy clinic.

I will be prochoice when they start getting consent from the baby before the procedure can start. At least she has the conscience to feel badly about her-“choice”. These people who rally for it, and try to embrace it as a thing to be proud of, are murdering more than their unborn.
    They are murdering their souls.

    • MommaGator

I for one am thrilled you’re all grossed out — because if ya’ll somehow succeed in banning abortion, the old horror days of coat hangers and tumbles down stairs and hundreds of thousands of dead women, will inevitably return.

    Proceed with your outrage!

    • mtshark

Hundreds of thousands of dead woman? The sad thing is you believe that. War on woman anyone???

      • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Doesn’t compare to the 55 million+ dead babies since RvW.

    • Tom Winegar

There are other choices besides abortion and it has nothing to do with the sugar coating term, Choice, that killers use to make murder more palatable. Ending abortion for convenience will make people more responsible and besides I don’t want my tax dollars being used to fund this behavior. Want to kill your kid then you pay for it.

    • Vueiy

Or, you know, women could just OBEY THE LAW and NOT ATTEMPT TO MURDER THEIR OWN CHILDREN. What’s stunted here is your conscience.

Hundreds of thousands of women didn’t die from coat hangers; that’s pure foolishness based on a LIE (Roe v. Wade was based on a bunch of them).

      http://www.nysun.com/new-york/abortion-myth-perpetuated/60958/

Here’s a quote from the above article, just in case you don’t read it:

“The “Jane Roe” whose case went before the Supreme Court was not a victim of rape. She never had an abortion. Her real name is Norma McCorvey and she now adamantly opposes abortion. She wrote about the truth of her involvement in the historic 1973 decision in her 1998 book, “Won By Love.” Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a cofounder of NARAL, blew the myth wide open in his 1997 book, “Confessions of an Ex-Abortionist.” He admits that early abortion-rights advocates totally fabricated the number of women dying from back-alley and wire-hanger abortions. The 10,000 figure they used to affect public opinion was actually closer to 250, he writes. The actual figure in 1972 for deaths from illegal abortion was 39, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Dr. Nathanson also admitted to fabricating polls that indicated public support for abortion rights.”

In nations where abortion has been made illegal, this foolishness doesn’t happen. Maybe because most women have more sense than to stick metal objects up their nethers in a desperate attempt to murder their unborn children.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Anti choice? That’s a tidy little euphemism for those of us who realize that it’s wrong to get pregnant, cause a baby to be created and then have it dismembered and sucked out because it’s not convenient. Pregnancy is preventable. Accidents happen, but you suck it up and let the pregnancy run its course. The baby didn’t choose to be created by 2 people who don’t know what they’re doing. Anyone who has died due to shoving a coat hanger up their uterus to try to kill their unborn baby is deserving of whatever happens to them. If you don’t use a coat hanger, both you and the baby will live.

    • pjcostello

      Anti-choice. That’s actually pretty funny.
I choose to smoke a cigarette — libtards tell me I cannot.
I choose not to wear a seatbelt — libtards tell me I must.
I choose to own and carry a gun — libtards tell me I cannot.
I choose to order a large soda — libtards tell me I cannot.
I choose to use incandescent light bulbs — libtards tell me I cannot.
I choose to allow my child to wear an American flag shirt to school — libtards tell me I cannot.

The only ‘choices’ that libtards will allow we ‘peasants’ are the ones THEY think are good and righteous, and no others.

    • Mango

You don’t get it do you? Obviously not. While you revel in your pride at thinking you’ve made some sarktastic jab at sane, reasonable, life-valuing people, what you’re missing is the fact that this organization that focuses on the health of women is using a symbol of pure desperation to symbolize their “work.” Boy, you’re right, nothing says health, choice, safety, and security like a WIRE HANGER! Can’t wait to get over to their clinic for some safe, clean, medical care. Maybe if “ya’ll” had an iota of respect for life “ya’ll” wouldn’t be so damn proud of yourselves for being ass clowns.

      • $36562119

You twit. The wire hanger is the result of YOUR “work” — You’ll force the procedure underground – where, like in other countries where it’s been forced underground (example: Argentina) it’ll become the biggest cause of maternal death – 3 times more than the world average. All because women had to resort to sub-standard treatment.

        Moron!

        • Mango

Look ass hat, again you’re just not getting it. A women’s organization is using a symbol of women’s desperation to show appreciation for donations. What is it about that very obvious irony you don’t get? DCAF tried to be clever and cute, it backfired, get over it. And it doesn’t matter where you stand on abortion, ALL WOMEN SHOULD BE OFFENDED by their brazen and crass stupidity. Me having respect for life doesn’t constitute as WORK…it’s called a value. A little respect for both the living and the unborn would go a long way in helping you calm down on the fanaticism. Good luck with that.

  • mtshark

And yet the Pro-Life movement is displayed by the MSM as
the sickos with a war on woman. Go figure…

    • prado4587

Of course the lamestream media won’t report that women will seek back alley options if the liberals keep on increasing regulations on reproductive clinics in their war on businesses and healthcare

  • Joseph

I love it when a plan comes together.

  • arrow2010

Amazing how easy it is to tweak you Christian Fundies…. LOL

    • Isahiah62

and nigh impossible to make a dent in hyposcrisy of proggies– so you are pro choice which makes you a RACIST and fan of Sanger’s genocidal scheme admired by Nazis—> abortion was designed to KILL BLACK BABIES- yup ….and it works

FYI I’m not a fundie or Christian

    • Tom Winegar

I’m not a Christian but smart enough to know that “Pro-Choice” is just a sugar coating to get ignorant poor women to the death camps. You are a fascist and would fit right in at Auschwitz.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Anyone who can “LOL” at the topic of killing gestating human babies for convenience sake is a sick monster.
Leave religion out of it. You don’t have to be remotely religious to know that once you are pregnant, you have ALREADY made a baby. If you leave it alone, it resolves itself. Tearing it apart and sucking it out is murder.

    • Belinda Henry

Do us a favor and don’t breed.

    • MommaGator

It’s SO much easier and far more entertaining to throw out a childish comment and run away than it is to actually engage in an informed debate, isn’t it? But we understand – you have nothing worthwhile to contribute. .

  • Isahiah62

wow can’t wait to donate! that necklace will look so HOT worn with my tampon earrings- /sarc

  • http://truthofg.blogspot.com/ Connor Kenway

Just when you think liberals cannot get any sicker they celebrate genocide. They might as well replace the coat hanger with a swastika. It is more honest to their views.

  • Kyle Prescott

Grotesque, sick, despicable. Words don’t capture how wrong-headed this is.

  • Tom Winegar

Liberals are the neo sub-humans no doubt fathered by the Hitler Youth of the past. Intolerance is their mantra and murder is their great equalizer.

  • whiteyb

I will say to those of you who are as physically ill over this as I am, that God will protect the souls of those unborn who are killed before they can be born into the world. Exactly what becomes of them, if they get a chance to be born into another body at another time, or if they get a pass to heaven, or if it is something else, God will grant them mercy and take care of them, and conversely, at a later point in time, he will also exact the full measure of Justice against those who have perpetrated this abominable crime against God and nature by destroying innocent and defenseless life, divine in origin and meant to come to earth for an eternal purpose.

Common sense tells you that a baby you helped create, that has its own skeleton, fingerprints, brain, heart, fingernails, moves independently if you poke at it, is a human being and is already living. If you lack that common sense, there’s always SCIENCE:

      • MommaGator

It’s amazing to me how the Right is portrayed as anti-science when they disagree with the Left’s agenda, but when it comes to the actual settled science of biology, the Left has a monopoly on the anti-science thinking

    • http://commentspammersmustdie.blogspot.com/ Kakarot

So all those trials where the killer was charged with two counts of murder for killing a pregnant woman, those were all frauds, Skrewy?

Hey, Scott Peterson, cheer up. Skrewy says your double murder conviction was wrong.

  • Mango

What a bunch of dolts, a wire hanger is/was used by women in pure desperation because they couldn’t get to clinic to have a safe abortion (whatever your stance on abortion is, using a wire hanger on yourself is the least safe way to do it). Here they are using a token of desperation to symbolize their “work.” Yup, nothing says health, choice, and safety better than a WIRE HANGER! Dolts.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

And the alternative to abortion is to let the pregnancy run its course.
There is no excuse for ever using a wire hanger or any other object to butcher your own child while it is relying on you for sustenance.

      • Mango

I’m not saying there is an excuse for that, I’m saying that it happens whether we like it or not. My point is this poor excuse for a women’s organization is using the wire hanger, which is a symbol of some women’s desperation, as a token of its appreciation for donations. The irony should be pretty clear, but being that these people are complete ignoramuses and fanatics, they don’t see that. They think they’re being clever, they think they’re taking a jab at us meany conservatives who want to ban abortion clinics so that even more women will be driven to take a hanger to themselves. But they’re not clever, they’re vile ideologues who have no respect for life, not only no respect for the unborn, but none for the women they “serve.” Put plainly, whoever came up with the wire hanger necklace is stupid as hell.

        • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

It may happen whether we like it or not, but that doesn’t mean we should have our government pouring money into it and our schools doing everything they can to keep fetus models out of the hands of teenagers and preaching that no one can prevent pregnancy so you HAVE to have abortion.
We need to change the public perception and bring science into it. Science shows that a fetus is not a parasitic piece of random tissue, but a little bitty human all its own.

          • Mango

I’m not disagreeing with you on the issue of abortion. The point here is that the DC Abortion Fund is a private, all-volunteer, donation based organization that made a stupidly offensive gesture towards women and they didn’t even realize it. That’s the irony here, a women’s organization using a symbol of women’s desperation to show their appreciation for donations. This is just shameless ignorance, that’s why it shouldn’t even matter where you stand on abortion, it should be offensive to everyone. This is how we know Progressive fanatics have no respect for life, they offend both the living and the unborn without remorse. What we need to do is instill kids with respect for life again so that they don’t see abortion as some quick fix with no consequences. Orgs like DCAF need to be told when they’ve crossed the line, that we as a society aren’t going to tolerate this garabage that devalues and mocks life in all its stages. I went to their FB pages and did just that.

  • YesterdayzNewz

Unbelievable! Those who are always pro-abortion, are alive and kicking.

I am guessing that they’re trying to make it seem like your donations prevent “back alley, coat hanger, abortions”, but it actually serves to insult us, disgust us, and thankfully, fire us up in this sick world of murder!

Before abortion was legal, women used things like coat hangers to end their pregnancies. The statement that they are making is that these new abortion restrictions are pushing women to extremes. For example: Jennie McCormack, Jennifer Whalen, and Yaribely Almonte.

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

No one is pushing anyone toward shoving anything into their uterus to end a pregnancy. Birth control is cheap and readily available in this country. We control when and whether we get pregnant. Even if you don’t take the calculated risk of pregnancy into consideration before having sex, no one’s life will be ruined by carrying a baby to term. The baby has been created as a result of your actions, intentionally or otherwise. Having an abortion doesn’t make it go away-you are still a parent, you are just a parent to a baby that you had dismembered and sucked out of your uterus.
What’s the worst that happens if you can’t have an abortion? You gain weight and get stretch marks-happens to the best of us without getting pregnant.
You lose your husband because the baby isn’t his-your choice to roll the dice with someone you’re not married to.
Your boyfriend/husband doesn’t want kids and will dump you-Who wants to be with a guy who bails just because you’re carrying his child? The baby is still half yours.
Your family gives you all kinds of hell for being pregnant too young-They probably will, but having an abortion doesn’t take that away, it just compounds the guilt and remorse.

      • Ashley Marie Ostrowski

Birth control is cheap and readily available you say? Well that depends on if you know anything about contraception (thanks to abstinence only classes many Americans don’t), family planning clinics are being shut down (Texas), some lawmakers are trying to get insurance companies to stop covering bc (Michigan), and did Ariel Castro use condoms when he raped Michelle Knight, Gina Dejesus and Amanda Berry? And in case you’ve forgotten, women still die in childbirth (yes even in the US). Husband/boyfriend leaves? Kids are expensive and too many men owe thousands of dollars in child support (my uncle among them). Some girls are kicked out if they get pregnant and some may have no where to go (like Alaska where Sarah Palin cut funding for shelters for single mothers).

  • AlyOop

I hope their necks turn as black as their souls. Sick is too kind a word to describe them.
