Welp, looks like Jay Carney’s new beard has failed to confer either maturity or wisdom upon him. When asked today about Obamacare enrollment numbers, Carney launched right into worm mode:

“ASAP.” Right.

2014’s only just begun, but that’s certainly a good candidate.

There’s more:

Uh, yes you are, Jay.

Oh really?

What an absolute joke.

Twitchy coverage of Jay Carney

  • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Absolutely, his backside showed up today hair and all and he’s talking right out of it. New year or not…Lying, liars.

    • Archer305

Hey, his new year’s resolution was “I’m gonna tell more lies and spend more money that the country doesnt have…”

      • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Yes, he informed us on December 21st.

  • wa2pu

I wonder what Carney would have to say if someone removed Obama’s hand from his arse. Hmmm.

    • Canadian in USA ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

He’d just fall to the ground since he has no spine to tell the truth.

  • Marcy Cook

  • nc ✓s & balances

What? The stick-on beard didn’t bestow the automatic wisdom on him?

  • CatHerder ✓fire! ✓fire!

Yep, you’re A SAP if you believe he’ll ever cough up the real numbers.

  • Patriot

I understand there is a summer intern at the NTSB who is good at confirming information. Carney should check to see if they can come up with some numbers.

  • Marvin Nelson

I, for one, am insulted that Clown Carney thinks that we are stupid enough to keep buying this stinking pile of BS. Given that disaster that is Healthcare.gov, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they couldn’t actually generate any demographic data. They need to kick the hamsters into high gear.

  • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Well, the WH didn’t draw the 7 million line– the world did.

  • CR

Considering this administrations willingness to fudge numbers and manipulate statistics*, think about how bad the demographic data really must be if they aren’t even willing to make something up to share with us.

*See e.g. “jobs created or saved,” counting people who put plans into their cart as enrolled and claiming that premiums were “lower than expected” (when this data meant premiums were lower compared to how much the CBO had predicted they would go up).

  • Tgar

“What difference does it make!” (Said to the shrill voice of one H R Clinton.)

  • H50 ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

The numbers are so horrible that they wont release them until they are forced to. Lucky for them all we have to force them is a lapdog media that wont challenge them.

  • BMightyCreative

Dammit, quit asking questions that make us look bad. Ask us how many people have typed in and searched for healthcare.gov. (Thanks Google!) Ask us how many people have thought about typing in healthcare.gov. (Thanks Blue Cross Blue Shield in every state!) Ask us how many people know people who have heard about healthcare.gov. (Thanks MSNBC!) Ask us how many people heard about…look, squirrel! (Thanks Disney!)

  • Al’s Not So Sad Grampa

Carney stood in front of the press and lied? No way!

  • arttie

They’re reliably unreliable. Therefore, I am not surprised.

  • Love of Country

    Liberalism is a lie.

  • nickdqwk

Pathetic: Jay Carney says WH still doesn’t have accurate Obamacare data, lies about enrollment goal

Should be actually: Jay Carney says WH still doesn’t have accurate lies about Obamacare enrollment goal data.

  • forgetyoutooo

Did the press corps(e) ask Carney if Obama had recuperated from the long, arduous flight from Hawaii?

  • Exodus2011

the evil gal pal val is still trying to find a way to mask what is REALLY going on?

  • Maxx

Open up the doors fellas…by the time his nose stops growing, it will be resting on Lincoln’s knee.

    • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Between his and 0’s noses growing out the doors, we believe they must have a bet going on to see which one reaches Lincoln’s knee first…;’)

  • j p✓ʳᵉᶠʳᶦᵉᵈ

But he could ask the NSA and know exactly where each person is standing right now and who they are talking to.
Someone should invent a wearable lie detector that delivers a few thousand volts on each whopper and make it mandatory for our “public servants” to wear them while on duty.

  • The 57th State© ℅EF™

    Obama: I didn’t say 7 million… The world said 7 million.

    Or maybe PajamaBoy said it.

  • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Based on performance to date, you can bet that the web site isn’t plugged into anything on the backend yet.

We should feel lucky the site isn’t crashing as much anymore. /sarc

    • HonestDisqussion

Apparently it’s even worse than we thought…

The only logical explanation for not having any enrollment numbers… they forgot to put a database in place for the enrollment data.

Otherwise it would be as simple as:

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Enrollees WHERE Age >= 18 AND Age <= 35

to determine the number of enrollees between the ages of 18 and 35.

This administration isn't lying, they're simply incompetent… I feel much better now.

      • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Incompetent to the nth degree…Incompetently lying to the nth degree…to the degree of 0.

  • LinTaylor ✓vitrified

I just hope Obama doesn’t injure his cronies in the process of making them move the goalposts around so much.

  • MumuBobby

Come on, aside from the real world consequences (considerable), this is hilarious. If you aren’t mocking this guy you aren’t paying attention.

    • Discontentwliars

It’s just another story about Carny’s lies. You would have thought that SNL would have a whole series, just focusing on him. I guess it’s really not funny any more.

      • Ryan Schneider.

If a conservative had talk with half so asinine abandon, they would have. This administration has been the golden age of mindless bias.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

This just in: Jay Carney throws his back out moving the goalposts on Obamacare.

  • TocksNedlog

At healthcare-dot-gov you are required to enter your d.o.b., gender and income, and the site tells you whether or not you’ve successfully enrolled. [Well, aside from the fact that in many cases people haven’t successfully enrolled even though the site says that they have, but let’s continue …] Somehow, while they can tell us exactly how many people that applied are eligible for Medicaid, and exactly how many people are qualified to receive tax credits, they magically cannot give us the demographic breakdown as to who is actually enrolling in plans.
Lie of the Year? That depends on whether they ever release data on how many people that signed up for plans have actually paid their premiums and received insurance cards. The insurers have to pay a fee for each new policy written, so that figure shouldn’t be too hard to determine.

  • westazgal ✓ItOut

They would have had numbers available 2 days after the launch if the numbers had been in their favor.

  • Bozeman
  • neoface

Jay Carney is as much of a joke as Piers Morgan. They both should be deported to England. Better yet, how many people actually paid for O-NO-care???
