Rut-roh …

Speaking — or, rather, shouting — this morning in Rockville, Maryland, President Obama once again used his “bullsh*t pulpit” to rail against the lazy GOP for failing to bring anything that pleases him to the negotiating table. During the course of his tantrum, he attempted to use a real-world analogy to describe his frustration with the Republicans, who evidently refuse to work unless they get their way. But instead, he may have ticked off some of his most ardent supporters: labor unions.

Here’s what he said:

That’s sure what it sounds like to us …

Last time we checked.

What say the labor unions? We’re very curious:

Oh, to be flies on the wall at the next SEIU meeting …

In any event, now that President Petulance has opened this can of worms, here’s some food for thought:

True story.

Oh boy:

Just one so far:

Will we hear from others?

Welp, somehow, the IBEW managed to turn this into an opportunity to take a swipe at the GOP:

  • Republicanvet

I guess who ever forgot to bring the Teleprompter is now furloughed.

    • disqus_eric

As if that’s a bad thing?

      • Gromit

The last time he went off teleprompter, we nearly ended up in a war with Syria. So yeah, that’s a bad thing.

        • autdrew4real

On that, I can agree! When totus is off, we are seeing the real o & it can get us into trouble!

    • SineWaveII

His speechwriters just won another bet.
      Heard in the White House:

“I can’t believe you got him to say that!….crap.. Ok here’s the fifty I owe you. I thought for sure I had you that time. “

      • Steven S Mellnick

I believe he just stepped in it….and the waffle this time is too fine of a point to dig out the crap.

        • SineWaveII

You got that right. It’ll be fun to watch them try however.

          • Steven S Mellnick

a laser scalpel at this point wouldn’t provide a fine enough cut to separate the feces from the shoe.

        • AmericanMom

Upset liberals can call the mental health people at Obamacare at the F-U number Sebellius provided.

    • MNWoman

Sorry…I wrote my comment above before I read yours basically saying the same thing. Didn’t mean to steal your idea 😉

      • Republicanvet

No worries. Great minds and all that right?

        • MNWoman

          Very true!

    • WhoMeToo

zer0 ==> The “smartest man in the room” /smh

      • TropicRanger

        Smartest man in the choom…FIFY!

    • pajamakat

Not a good idea. I would think that person is ESSENTIAL.

    • schveiguy

And I’m Barack Obama. Go F*** yourself, unions.

      • IBXNJ

The Teamsters already have him on their sh_t list for Obamacare!!

    • trixiewoobeans

      Talk about a Freudian slip!

  • j p✓ʳᵉᶠʳᶦᵉᵈ

I think he needs to change his resume from community organizer to dictatorship organizer.

    • TugboatPhil ✓Mate

I agree with the first syllable of your second job description.

    • Tugger – ✓unᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

They never said he was a GOOD community organizer. Look what his organization did for Chicago.

      • j p✓ʳᵉᶠʳᶦᵉᵈ

Maybe it should read commie unity organizer.

  • Clete Torres ✓ᵈⁱˢᵍʳᵒⁿⁱᶠⁱᵉᵈ

Carney will be on shortly to tell us we didn’t hear what we heard, and what we actually heard.

    • Steven S Mellnick

But he stated we weren’t a banana republic…..?

    • MNWoman

No, no…what Obama meant was that only striking workers who are Republican should be fired.

  • Republicanvet

C’mon! You meanies all know he only meant unicorn factories in states 51-57.

    • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

      Ohhhhhhhhhhh! LOL!

    • RosiesSeeingRed

OMG, I needed a good laugh. THANK YOU!

    • TexSizzle

      What about states 58-60?

  • Mister A

Wow, day 3 of shutdown/obamafail and everyone on that side of the aisle has turned to flailing about. That didn’t take as long as I thought.

  • Marvin Nelson

Come on guys, give Obozo a break. That statement was just a gaffe, like Dingy Harry’s cancer boo boo yesterday. It’s no biggie.

    • Republicanvet

By the end of the day leftist journOlists will be spinning it as Republican owned manufacturers of cancer drugs.

  • grais

These fails aren’t the best part, though.
The best part is the spin that always follows.
Poor Carney; I don’t think he gets paid enough.

    • MNWoman

Sometimes the generous part of me wants to feel sorry for Carney. Then I remember that he is a willing moron and that feeling soon passes.

    • arttie

      I’m surprised he’s “essential.”

  • World B. Free

I love it when this jackass goes off script and his utter incompetence and BS go on full display for all to see.

    • © Sponge

Alas, it’s only for those who are paying attention to see. The LIV’s will only see the media spin which will bury his idiotic and incompetent statements as they always do and we’re still sitting back waiting for them to wake the truck up.

  • froggy19510

I guess his ol’ buddies in the unions are getting to see the real face of their lord and saviour Barak H. Obama. Good for them.

    • tarandfeatherthecrooks

Looking up from under the bus isn’t the most pleasant view.

  • Guest

  • cmerlo1

Just when I thought the Apple analogy was one of the dumbest I’ve heard…

  • The Jackal

This is getting better and better by the minute. Der Furher has spoken! Yawn.

  • © Sponge

Just goes to show that they were right when they said this was the #smartestmutherfuckerever to occupy the White House.

  • SineWaveII

ROFLMAO!!! (Remember folks, the man is a genius)

  • MNWoman

I am guessing the person responsible for his teleprompter will soon be fired.

    • Steven S Mellnick

not fired. That would be bad PR. They’re going on ‘indefinite leave’….with pay!

      • vetgal1970

To spend more time with their family

  • socalcon

    Blame the TOTUS in 3…2…1…

  • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

And if Obama owned a factory (symbolic of America) and spent all the money that the factory workers made for him he’d be thrown in jail.
    We say arrest him NOW!

  • IceColdTroll

“If a worker shut down a manufacturing plant until they got what they wanted, they’d be fired.”

OMG. OMG. OMG. Is it like “Complete Lack of Self-Awareness Day” or something like that?

    • RosiesSeeingRed

OMG. OMG. OMG. about sums up my thoughts too.

Hey, where are all the liberal trolls defending their brilliant dictator?

      • IceColdTroll

        Maybe they’re on strike!

      • therantinggeek

Give them time. I’m sure they’ll show up eventually, either by posting or by anonymously down-voting our comments.

    • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Of course….he’s not, not, repeat Not pointin’ any fingers…no…no…no!

    • MNWoman

For liberals, it is a “Complete Lack of Self-Awareness World”

  • Perso Nasplit

omg they are falling apart. first denial of exemptions, now this. how much is it going to take? (btw, id be all for the unions form their OWN political party. we need more. We should have 300million parties, not 2)

  • RosiesSeeingRed

I just watched that NBCWashington link. They seem to be covering for him because they edited out any mention of that quote as far as I can see.

  • tarandfeatherthecrooks

    such ineptitude.

  • vetgal1970

TOTUS must be non essential personnel

  • texastommy

It’s ALMOST like he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

    • TocksNedlog

      What do you mean, “almost”?

      • TexSizzle

Always give the benefit of the doubt. (Unless you’re a Democratic.)

  • Booker

  • jukin

World’s smartest in man in history sure steps in flaming bags of poo he forgot he left on front porch a lot.

    • IceColdTroll

      Bravo, sir!

  • shay

Pretty sure both the GOP and Dems know what they’re “striking” over, too. It amazes me how O’s fans continue to support him no matter what he says. If he came out tomorrow and said that everyone who was over the age of 70 and made less than $50k annually should be euthanized, they’d all get on board the train and start explaining to us simpletons why that’s best for America and the world. The mindless loyalty to a politician absolutely boggles my mind.

  • VerminMcCann

“What does he think a strike is?”

    He literally has no idea.

  • TocksNedlog

I was not aware that the GOP members of Congress were ‘on strike’ — especially since, at the moment, they are the ONLY ones passing new legislation.

  • ObamaFail

I’m sorry, but isn’t Harry Reid the one who caused the shut down? And isn’t Obama the one who won’t work with Republicans until they give him all of the excessive spending and tax increases and no mention of anything Anti-Obamacare related that he wants? How are the GOP the ones keeping the government shut down? Only a complete moron can’t see through the BS that Obama and the dems are spewing all over the place. Why else are they resorting to accusations of them being “terrorists?” Because they know the GOP are finally done lying down for him, and it’s frightening him that a budget might be passed and he is equally frightened that he might have to be fiscally responsible if the GOP get their way.

  • Mikey_W

Did someone turn off the teleprompter again?

  • Joe

Obama continues to speak and remove any doubt he is an idiot who will say anything for political gain.

  • BrotherMatthias

Obama realizes he cannot fire Congress, right?

  • R.C.

That rule only applies to the other 7 states. The first 50 are grandfathered in the strike clause.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

I guess whoever runs the teleprompter was deemed non-essential personnel.

  • cant_believe_it

I didn’t know that “a worker” was considered a Union in conservative circles….

    • IceColdTroll

      • cant_believe_it

Even if they ever find your brain (which I doubt seriously), “a worker” is still not the same as “a union”!

        • IceColdTroll

  • dogwonder

So Obama shuts down government, basically the demorats go on strike, refuse to negotiate and won’t sit at the table until they are givien what they want. Gee Obama is quite the hypocrite.

    • carolina mama

I think “coercive extortion” is the phrase you’re looking for.

  • carolina mama

I’d love to have been a fly-shaped-drone on the wall inside the walls of Union HQ to overhear the conversation following this revelation of how Obama has “evolved” to support RTW laws.

  • walterc

@RBPundit @RBPundit When we do strike, we usually know what we are striking over. You might want clarify THAT first

You mean like “We demand that the workers be treated the same as the corporations and member of Congress under Obamacare? I’m pretty sure we know what the GOP is after.

  • objectivefactsmatter

Unions and their members are only useful for fomenting the revolution. Once they’re not useful, they’re as expendable as any other non-elite.

  • cmazzJK

As a former member of the IBEW, we had a no strike clause in our contract so we would of got fired for striking not sure why the twitter account didn’t reference that… Oh well unions are a pain in the ass.

  • arik matthews

Um, why would they be so assured Odumbo wouldn’t just ignore the NLRA? You know, like je’s ignored Odumbocare, pretty much every immigration law, the War Powers Act and basically anything that gets in the way of what his little tinpot heart desires?

  • stickerchick

I’d call him a tool, but most tools are useful.

  • TheOriginalFactChecker

So many people lying about what the President said! He DID NOT say workers who shut down a factory should be fired. He said, they WOULD be fired. That is what WOULD happen IF those workers weren’t protected by their Union. STOP LYING!

    • IceColdTroll
