The Fox News superstar is heading for primetime:

From Fox News’ press release:

In making the announcement, Ailes said, “Megyn is an exceptional talent who has successfully filled and surpassed each role we have given her at the network.  Her ability to command the screen, delve into the facts and lead a debate is what makes her one of the most sought-after anchors in the business.”

Kelly added, “Roger Ailes hired me nine years ago when I was new to this business and he had little other than instinct to suggest it might work out.  I was grateful to him then, remain so today, and am excited for this next opportunity.”

Kelly will take over her new time slot when she returns from maternity leave. The revamped schedule has yet to be announced, but warm wishes are already pouring in:

Update:

MMFA sounds alarm: Megyn Kelly’s move to primetime will promote ‘conspiratorial scandalmongering’

  • philips66

Which show is moving out of prime time to make way for Megyn?

    • Night Owl

I was wondering that too. I also wonder if that person has to wait until she gets back from maternity leave to find out they are getting the boot.

    • Jennifer

My money would be on Greta.

      • philips66

Great already posted that she has a long term contract that stipulates a prime time show. 7pm doesn’t count as prime time, does it?

        • Jennifer

I don’t think 7 pm counts as prime time, and Smith re-upped as well, although I guess his slot could change. We shall see! Megyn no longer being on at 1 p.m. gives me a great reason to shut the TV off in the afternoon!

          • philips66

It’s strange that this would be announced without an explanation. I only get to watch at night so I’m happy with whatever slot she gets although I like Greta best, of the 3.

          • carl

You kidding…………..Bill rocks. Has done so much for the folks.

          • Constance Cutsumbis

Never miss Megyn I make sure I am home between 1 and 3. Maybe now I can get some housework done :)

        • Tim Danaher

Yes I do believe that from 6pm-10pm is primetime best thing to do is just ask one of the many search engines out their but there is a great question as far as which show might be getting trimmed down or even cancelled! Have to remember O’Reilly is in his middle 70’s now so maybe Megan will be a replacement for him..

          • Rich

            O’Reilly is 63.

          • Garth Haycock

My guess is rather than a rerun of O’Reilly or Hannity, Megyn will be in one of those slots.

          • carl

            Makes good sense.

          • carl

Bill’s the best, are you kidding me, 70? I say sheppard show.

      • Jennifer

Oops…just read Greta (and O’Reilly, Hannity, Smith and Baier) just signed new contracts. Guess the mystery will continue for awhile!

        • wwbdinct

          Weird….

        • wwbdinct

          Weird….

        • Dan Kern

          Leaves possibly Shepherd Smith?

          • Jennifer

If 7 pm can be construed as prime time, that’s possible. Maybe give Smith 2 consecutive hours in the afternoon instead of the split he currently has?

          • Dan Kern

Sounds like the only alternative left since contracts have already been signed with the other prime timers. Smith may still have some value at Fox. Different, more liberal perspective.

          • carl

Yes, I think he is a liberal, he should go.

          • HWarrior13

No…get rid of that liberal, drama queen, Shep…full stop !

          • Jennifer

I’m not a fan of Smith’s…just trying to think about what they might do. I hear he’s got a crazy high salary, so I can’t imagine they would pay him that money to work half the time. Would definitely not be sorry to see him go, though.

          • HWarrior13

            Amen, sister !

          • Julio Flores

I used to be a fan of Smith, but something has happened in the way he delivers the news, and perhaps one hour in the afternoon, 3-4pm, would be more than enough for me. Would love to see Megyn take the 7PM slot. She is great.

          • betzinva

Liberal drama queen? Fox viewers(of which I am one) are fair and balanced? I do not, for the life of me, understand the animus against Shep. This is not the CONSERVATIVE news network, it is FoxNews. Shep does as close to a hard news hour as anything I’ve seen. Be advised, I grew up with Huntley/Brinkley and Cronkite. I witnessed the news become editorial, not news. Shep’s politics are far less present than the other networks, and he is less biased, historically, than some of the BIG names of Brokaw, Jennings, Rather. Is he perfect, no? Is he anywhere near as blatant in furtherance of bias as the aforementioned, No! Talk about shooting inside the tent. It sounds as if you WANT FoxNews to be as biased and full of propaganda as MSNBC. I do not always agree with everything said on FNC, but, by God, I remain grateful that there IS an alternative to the Izvestia of MSM.

          • HWarrior13

If Shep would present the news in a straight forward manner, that would be fine. But he doesn’t, he presents it from his far left perspective (talk about shooting inside the tent).
The right and middle have about 90% of the MSM against us, we don’t need to employ enemies.
Liberal or not, he is an obnoxious, drama queen.
All that yelling and screaming and well, drama is really the best word….just obnoxious.

          • betzinva

His far left perspective is tame compared to the “big three”, I keep trying to figure out what he does that is so ‘leftist’. We don’t employ Shep, unless you think the “right” owns FoxNews or are majority shareholders in News Corp. I guess his entertainment value is in the eye of the beholder.

          • HWarrior13

The other “big three” are COMMENTATORS, they are SUPPOSED to have a perspective…that is the *only* thing they are paid for.

Shep is a supposed to be a news broadcaster.
I’m really running out of ways to to explain the difference to liberals, but I’ll try :

Shep is supposed to be presenting the NEWS, not adding his leftists views. He’s not even supposed to be “tame” in his views or an “entertainer”. That is not his job.

I’d like to hear the NEWS…the NEWS…presented with the facts and not all his editorial leftists remarks. I can get that at EVERY broadcast “news” station on TV.

Is that now asking too much from a “news” broadcaster?
And btw, I’m not on the “right”, I’m in the middle and disagree with about half the issues that are of importance to those on the right.
Furthermore, I never claimed to own NewsCorp. I was giving my opinion. Does one need to be a shareholder to issue an opinion?

          • betzinva

          • Jeremy

Yeah that could be what happens it makes sense.

          • bigkahuna9

One possibility is that she teams up with Oreilly or hannity

          • Kevin Blankenship

I am thinking teaming with Hannity is Smart, O’Reilly walks on/over others too often.

          • jazzerie

Smith has re-signed. I know Greta wants to have an earlier show. 10pm is hard on her family life.

          • Dan Kern

Now we hear Greta might be moving back to CNN. Any truth to these rumors? That could be a good spot for Megyn if this rumor is true.

          • jazzerie

What would be in it for Greta? Moving back to CNN, a much lower-rated channel– I can’t see her going back. It would be such a step down.

          • carl

No way, Greta is to conservative for cnn. She is a straight shooter, and think that what is going on in Country is with all the corruption is just outrageous.

        • WBee1 Proud Navy Wife

I hope Megyn will move to the 7pm timeslot and Shep SMith will continue with his 3pm slot

I wonder who will have Megyn’s 1pm time slot?

          • Junie3

            Laura Ingram, would be good.

          • ⚔Christophuh⚔

No, she is stupid and annoying and stupid.

          • Larry Whorley

            Shannon Bream

        • John

I remember O’Reilly mentioning his frustration at tax rates and stating that if they got much higher he would decide that his job wouldn’t be worth the effort. Maybe he’s considering a semi-retirement at the end of his contract? Hume did so at about the same age when he passed the torch for Special Report to Bret.

        • Junie3

Has to be shep Smith at 7, he’s on at 3 too. I say it’s about time for the cry boy to lose a slot.

        • ⚔Christophuh⚔

that doesnt mean they cannot be moved.

      • wwbdinct

I think that’s too late in the evening for someone like Megyn. She can replace O’Reilly or Hannity for all I care.

      • wwbdinct

      • Neena1727

My money and hopes is Sean Hannity is gone.

      • Maxx

I would move Greta to 7 pm (seems logical considering her strength is commenting on legal matters of the day and that 7 pm slot would be more timely) and Megyn to 10 pm. Sean would be a great lead in for her.

      • carl

I love Greta, hope is not her.

    • Marjorie

My vote is O’Reilly. Bill has become so self-righteous lately and I find it rather difficult to watch. I used to like the Factor but recently…not so much.

      • philips66

If I had to pick from Greta, Hannity, and O’reilly I’d give her the 8pm slot for sure.

      • John Taznar

I agree. I really used to like O’Reilly, but sometimes it seems like his guests are just props for his own pontification.

        • wwbdinct

His whole show is just props for his books. I only watch Dennis Miller’s segment and then sometimes on Friday when Gutfeld and Bernie McGuirk do their segment.

          • MuhammedAllah

He has on the SAME guests, every week, and his shows seem like theyre 2 days old!

          • Junie3

            lol, me too.

        • wwbdinct

His whole show is just props for his books. I only watch Dennis Miller’s segment and then sometimes on Friday when Gutfeld and Bernie McGuirk do their segment.

        • http://bpsitrep.blogspot.com/ BpSitRep

Used to like O’Reilly too, but ever since Obama did that sit down with him, Bill has not been the same, he won’t admit it, but he softballs for Obama now.

        • jazzerie

More so lately. He invites someone on for their perspective, and then keeps interrupting them and telling them they are wrong and talking over them. He didn’t use to be this bad. Is it me, or has the first couple of days this week been some of his worst that way? Post vacation? He wouldn’t even let Brit Hume complete a sentence. I could mentally hear Brit saying “why did I bother showing up?”

      • Love of Country

        Spot-on!

Between 1997 and 2005 he was the man …. now he’s more like the jerk.

    • Stone Bryson

I honestly think they’ll let Hannity out of his contract. I could be wrong, but it seems Ailes is shifting his focus more toward news with opinion, rather than opinion with news.

Furthermore, you can pretty much predict the exact words Hannity is going to use based on the subject matter, thus perhaps they are looking for something a bit more lively. No offense to Hannity, but he’s pretty predictable – Kelly certainly keeps things interesting.

      • wwbdinct

I totally agree. He’s become unwatchable as has O’Reilly.

        • Dutra

Have you noticed that Hannity has been getting the better guests and interviews lately? And Hannity’s ratings are just a hair below O’Reilly’s ratings.

O’Reilly is so up with himself that he prefers to interview himself.

          • wwbdinct

I haven’t noticed because I don’t watch his show anymore.

          • Doug Williams

I agree…only thing I’d miss is Watters World. His siding with Rubio on immigration was the final straw

          • jazzerie

I do really enjoy Watters World, and I usually like Dennis Miller, and I like Gutfeld and McGerk. I wouldn’t miss Bill.
Something I really dislike is when he reads the emails. He seems to read only those that he can use to lead into a commercial for one of his shows with Miller, or one of his books, or his movie.

        • Stone Bryson

Agreed – O’Reilly needs to find a little humility. Sean just bores me to tears… manly tears, but tears nevertheless. I mean really, how many times has he parroted the same half-dozen or so phrases since 2008? It’s tiresome…

      • wwbdinct

I totally agree. He’s become unwatchable as has O’Reilly.

      • Dutra

But Hannity is #2. That would be a tough decision, unless it is what Hannity wants. My guess is that somebody is headed elsewhere, thus leaving a vacuum. Irrespective of what Greta’s agent tells her to say, I think it is her spot. Greta is most likely on her way to CNN or The Blaze.

        • Stone Bryson

I honestly can’t see Greta going back to CNN – they did not part on the best of terms (if memory serves me right), and it has become a dud network. The Blaze, on the other hand? Now THAT is an intriguing notion, and right up her alley. Yep, I could see that coming to pass… though I’m still betting on Hannity being the departing fixture. :-)

          • jazzerie

Blaze yes– CNN, no. She wouldn’t go back.

        • jazzerie

Greta has not been shy about saying she would like an earlier time slot. Maybe she’ll get one of Megyn’s time slots when Megyn moves times.

      • Hiraghm

Well, it used to be “Hannity and Colmes” before it was “Hannity”. Maybe now it will become “Hannity and Kelly”?

        • Stone Bryson

Eeeesh, I hope not. Two Type-A personalities? IMO that would be a train-wreck waiting to happen.

        • jazzerie

Colmes drove me crazy, but Hannity by himself can get really boring and repetitive. Why would he want to share time with someone as good as Megyn, and conversely, why would Megyn want to go from having two hours all her own, to sharing a show with him?

      • Pisio808

Listen to the first 10 minutes of his radio show on Monday, and you know how the rest of the week is going to go on both shows…

      • Mackie72

I agree as well. Hannity is a repetitive talk box. You hear the same phrasing day after day – month after month. I like him, but not the repetition.

I’d like to see Megyn take the 9PM and Camerota move to 1PM. Alisyn always does a great job filling-in for Megyn.

        • jazzerie

I really like Camerota. I’m not the biggest fan of Gretchen in the morning and it’s always a happy day when Camerota is filling in for her.

      • jazzerie

Hannity is very repetitive in his rants. I rarely watch his show any more. I tune back in for Greta.

      • Darth_Venomous

The thing with Hannity is this: if you really wanna know what he’s gonna talk about on TV, listen to a half-hour of his radio show.

That, plus your point Stone – that he uses the same words for the same issues seemingly all the time, is why I punch out when he comes on the air.

(Oh, and the fact that he constantly sucks up to McRINO and Grahamnesty doesn’t help things any.)

    • http://bpsitrep.blogspot.com/ BpSitRep

I’m thinking it will be Shepard Smith’s 7pm EST time slot. FoxNews is getting stagnant across the board except for The Five which is coming alive, O’Rielly, Hannity, and Greta all have life left in their shows. Noon to 5 needs to be redone. Fox needs to refocus on the news.

      • scott burchell

It’s got to be Smith. That mannequin head and arched eyebrow are unwatchable anymore and every time he plays that poor bear landing on his face I want to pull that laughing ass right through the tv screen. He’s a pebble in my brain’s shoe.

      • jazzerie

Just don’t stop Special Report. It’s good, and the panel at the end offers interesting perspectives.
I used to watch the re-run after Red Eye (I’m West Coast) and hated when they stopped and put another O’Reilly at that time– since I often have to miss Special Report at 3pm here.

    • Max Headroom

Who cares. The Rove Norquist network is going down. One America News Network starts July 4th. This is a last minute act of desperation on FOX’s part. Good luck with that.

      • Junie3

        LOL. really?

    • jazzerie

I think Greta is wanting to work earlier in the day– better for her family. So maybe they’ll kind of trade.

  • Conrad2010

Greta is looking to return to CNN.
Megyn may fill Greta’s vacant 10:00PM time slot.
    If she goes to CNN.

    • LochGates44

Why would Greta want to leave Fox News for a glorified public access station?

      • Love of Country

        I can’t imagine it …. she’s a far better fit at Fox.

    • san rafael blue

where did you hear that rumor?

  • fireandreamitchell

Greta says she has a long term contract with Fox and isn’t leaving her slot. Does this mean Megyn will replace Shemp Smith on Fox Report? That would seriously own if she did. Less Shemp, more Megyn!

    • philips66

That would be the best option I’m not sure if 7pm counts as prime time though

      • CDUB

        Per wikipedia:

The term prime time is often defined in terms of a fixed time period—for example, from 19:00 to 22:00 (Central and Mountain Time) or 20:00 to 23:00 (Eastern and Pacific Time) (7 p.m. to 10 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.).

MMmmmmm………Shep keeps his 3 pm and Megan moves to 7, just before Bill……. Like him or not, he has the ratings. She may preempt even bigger rating for Bill – or Ted Baxter for us Rush fans………..

    • DarkKnight2016

      Or
      On The Record with
Greta Van Susteren & Megyn Kelly

      Or

      Hannity & Kelly

      • wwbdinct

          • san rafael blue

Sean almost always allows pretty women to walk all over him. For Megan, stealing the spotlight from Sean would be like taking candy from a baby, until his loyalists start to complain.

          or with anyone!

That’s what I was just thinking.

    • HWarrior13

Is Shep considered “prime time”? Thought prime time was 8 PM to 11PM

  • Clete Torres

Unless she’s an add-in to an existing prime-time, the math doesn’t work.

    • Jennifer

Somehow, I find it difficult imagining egos allowing that!

      • Clete Torres

I know, but I can’t see where she’d fit without being an add-in, or someone losing their slot. Trust me, I’d love to see her bring it in primetime if for no other reason than to see liberal brain-failures (I know, I repeat myself).

  • DarkKnight2016

I guess we have to wait until she comes back from her maturity leave

    • Adela Wagner

I find she has already given birth to PLENTY of maturity. Love her.

  • 2ifbyT

Regardless of which hour, prime time just got a lot better looking.

  • Steve_J

Maybe they’ll move Smith to Saturdays with “Slow” Eddie Schultz.

    • MuhammedAllah

You’ll NEVER see Fat Ed on Fox!

  • notenoughtime

Slam dunk for Fox. Though do not think a move to CNN for Greta is a smart move – no one watches. To put a intelligent individual on air makes it hard for the CNN viewers to keep up!

  • Love of Country

The most talented/smartest host at Fox (sorry Greg) finally gets her due …. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some folks see the former cheerleader in Megyn when they watch her on tv …. but get to know her and you’ll also see a former successful prosecutor with a heart of gold, too. :)

PS – Having said all that, she does appear to lack some charm and warmth even though she’s sharp as a tack and a thoughtful and loving woman. She could struggle in the evening time slot though not necessarily for the same reasons as a Katie Couric.

  • HWarrior13

She’s on for 2 hours now but I don’t think she’ll get that much time when she moves, which is a shame. She’s probably the only one I could watch for 2 hours. What a delight she is, not only to the eyes but also the brain.

  • nc

    More Megyn is Mo Better.

I hope it’s liberal goon Shep Smith who is leaving.

Shep Smith can go to MSNBC and play the part of rightwing extremist.

    OUTSTANDING!
Maybe Megyn can convert some of the Democrat/Obama “low information voters” who still labor in ignorance – their TV’s tuned to Demoncrat propaganda on MSLSD and CNN.

She won’t be getting Bill O’Reilly’s slot.. he’s been number one forever. Unless he plans to retire. He is certainly wealthy enough. I’m very pleased for Megyn… she’s been a favorite of mine since the beginning. She would be great right after The Five… they are such a hit and it would keep me in front of the TV for another hour. And they better leave Greta where she is … I adore her!

  • James Neal

Megyn has made the 1:00 to 3:00 pm time slot prime time in my opinion. I like all the evening shows. This move is actually a disservice to daytime TV, because she is a real talent. Just give her a prime time salary and let her reign supreme in the afternoon.

  • ⚔Christophuh⚔

    Please please replace O’Reilly!

  • Cajun Mark

looks like Shep Smith is odd man out here…

    • Joe W.

“Odd man”?? Not so sure…Shep will end up teaming with his pal Anderson Cooper over at CNN. Like the Flintstones, they’ll have a “gay old time”…..

      • HWarrior13

Wow…I tried to write something akin to that, but it got censored every way I tried to phrase/rephrase ” it “.
Good on you Joe…you’re a better man than me !

        • Joe W.

Well, I’m amazed I got it to post as well. Every now and again I get lucky!!!

          • san rafael blue

I laughed out loud at your completely inappropriate joke!
            More plz

  • Dewey

Great for Megyn. Shep is on2 times any way so let him keep the 3pm slot and give the 7 pm to Megyn.

  • AmericanBelle1

Fox prime time has been beating out all the other news channels so I can’t see them moving any of them, least of all Reilly…unless he’s planning on retiring. Otherwise, I’m thinking maybe Megyn will pick up a show on Weekend Primetime? Look what Judge Jeannine has done in the slot!!!

  • Constance Cutsumbis
  • Loyd McIntire

I don’t care who Megyn replaces, just so she does. She livens up the news.

  • Brenda Miltz

congratulation …love you ..fair and balanced

  • Dana Watts

Hopefully she takes Smith’s slot. He’s intolerable.

  • GaryTheBrave

It could be late night just after Greta. They repeat those 3 shows until Gutfeld’s show comes on.

They may also move OReilly to Shepard’s slot and place Megyn in OReilly’s current slot.

  • GMAinMN

Greta and Megyn are going to switch (this is what I read) Greta’s husband has been dx’d with cancer and she is wanting to spend more time with him.

  • Mike Cooper

Congratulations, Megyn Kelly. It will be nice to see more of you!

  • Danny Wheeler

    This would be interesting indeed.

  • SpaceRacer423

I don’t think anyone has to be “bumped from primetime” to make room for Megyn.

FNC re-runs its entire line up.

Simply start the re-runs an hour later.

I’d go: Shep, Megyn, Bill, Shawn, Greta.
But I can see Bill demanding he keep his current time slot.

    • HWarrior13

Nope, no Shep…can’t stand that liberal, drama queen

      • copperpeony

        Me either.

      • SpaceRacer423

My predicted schedule is assuming FNC keeps everyone.
Id also move RedEye to 11pm EST and make Bill’s re-run its lead in.

        • HWarrior13

Yeah, you’re right, Space. Besides if memory serves, I believe I remember hearing that Shep signed a 3 year contract. That was about a year ago, I think.
I just remember being disappointed at the time.
At least 2 more years with Shep.
          *sigh*

      • MontanaGal

FUNNY! He IS a drama queen. I lost all respect for him during Katrina when instead of reporting he launched into whining diatribes with a raised voice. Very unprofessional.

    • SpaceRacer423

LOL- two down votes because I didn’t join the anti -Shep mob and simply based my line up on the premise FNC was keeping everyone?
(I did this because most have long term contracts)
Wow, if you felt the need to down vote that you can follow Cheney’s advice to Leahy.

    • pinkelephant22

O’Reilly is the most watched program of any — I highly doubt his slot will move. It’s an adjustment around the later prime time w/Greta. And no, they shouldn’t be an hour later. Think of the east coast. O’Reilly wouldn’t be til 8.

Hannity is the only major political program to go up against the other networks — not a good idea to move him either. The most sense, in my opinion, is to do away w/Shep’s 2nd show at 7pm ET and put her there, move Red Eye to Greta’s 10 pm ET –or– let Greta record her show earlier in the day!! Regardless, Megyn Kelly is prime time material & she should’ve had some sort of spot long ago.

      • san rafael blue

I used to watch Red Eye a couple times each week, but I’ve grown a bit tired of it’s predictableness. Also, that host is already overexposed on The Five. I rarely watch The Five for that very reason; it’s a re-grouping of the rehashed archetypes. They need some new gripping personalities. NEW.

  • Anthony Van Komen

    Glory to God! ShOw TiME!

  • Zathras11 @B5

Greta or Shep. I sent them an e-mail pointing out (like they don’t know) that they is a big drop from Shep to Bill and again from Sean to Greta…

  • Guest

I would not be surprised if they put her after O’Reilly and move Hannity to 10pm while moving Greta out of prime time.

  • Spasmolytic

This is the final nail in the coffin for MSNBC’s ratings.

  • B. Weiner

Megyn, we will miss you each and every afternoon as you are such an enjoyable and knowledgeable news anchor. However, we wish you the best of luck in your next new endeavor. God Bless.

  • similjustus

They could easily cut Shepards last hour, and give it to Megan! I would be ever so happy!!

  • rob

she is good, and its hard to find people like her anymore, good luck Megyn

  • 1911HeadBanger

They need to put her on the 6 O’ clock slot so she kicks Scott Pelly’s Liberal ass, and anyone else who is on the evening news. If O’Reilly keeps going off the track on Gun Control and Immigration, they can always put him on after midnight when everyone goes to bed. But whatever you do, get rid of that Dumbass Geraldo.

  • cutmetal

Looking forward to Megyn Kelly in prime time, well deserved! She is always on point, and defends facts, not just her opinion. As far as who’s out, going by who I turn off now is Bill O’Reilly. He has become too Narcissistic. He asks a question of a guest, and then won’t let them finish what they have to say, even when they are agreeing with him… I used to like him, but now, it’s just a dog and pony show of what Bill thinks,… his opinion is the only thing that matters, and not the facts that matter.

    • DarkKnight2016

Hardly, O’Reilly still crushes everyone. Also:

      1) Getting rid of the Host of the #1 rated news show on Fox and all of cable news would be the dumbest thing anyone could ever do.

      2) They already signed O’Reilly to a long term contract along with Bret Baier, Shepard Smith, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren.

      3) She is either taking over the FOX Report (Shepard would stay with Studio B), switching time slot with Sean or Greta or she is going to be co-host with either Sean or Greta.

      4) I like O’Reilly

      • cutmetal

@DarkKnight2016:disqus Exactly my point… Bill crushes everyone before they even get to answer the question that he asked. This is not supporting the facts, this is as bad a tactic as the liberals use. This is just Bill forcing “His” narcissistic point of view. He may have been #1 rated, but I know from friends that are like minded with me, have stated they are now turning him off also. So he is losing his base. He’s gone from getting the facts, to declaring how it is according to Bill…. Not worth my time. Megyn will be much better in this spot than Bill.

  • MontanaGal

Would love to see her take Hannity’s spot. He always spins the conversation back to himself and never asks a direct question (just launches into lists).

    • http://discus.com yourmamatoo

      Hannity is just fine.
And yes, he does ask direct questions.
      Try dvr- ing it.

      • MontanaGal

Watch it every night (hub loves the guests). My opinion stands. **insert goofy happy face here**

        • http://discus.com yourmamatoo

Then why did you fib, and say he never asks direct questions?

  • Jeremy

I hope she takes over Shemp’s 7 PM ET slot and put Shemp on from 2-4 PM ET.I am not a big fan of Shemp but,he isn’t going anywhere.

  • Junie3

I hope she takes over Shep’s 7:00 slot……oh wait, I watch Lou Dobbs then and Cavuto at 8. I wouldn’t miss Hannity, he’s the one with the silly lib show.

    • neoface

Couldn’t agree with you more, that liberal Shepard Smith should be replaced by Megyn. I usually turn him off because his liberal bias just comes through in all his comments, I thought he was news. I think if it was up to him, Zimmerman would be executed.

  • Guest

Kelly has shown her mettle, not allowing herself to be intimidated,
by the opinionated and “never wrong” egotist O’Reilly.
    There is probably a gaping hole in the viewer numbers when Shepard Smith airs;
he could be assigned to ideological soulmate Rivera on his trashy show.

    • DarkKnight2016

Actually, Shepard Smith is #1 in his time slots, easily defeating the competition.

      • beebop1952

Well, take a look at his competition ….

  • Bill Board

I do like Megyn Kelly but I get annoyed at her constantly interrupting her guests. She invites them on her show to speak and when they begin, she’s right on it, flapping HER lips. It is rude.

    • DarkKnight2016

Actually she invites people on for answers and when people dance around the question, then she goes after them which while it sometimes get annoying given the time constraints but I’d rather she do it and the viewers get a real answer than her not doing it and the viewers being left with little to no answers.

      • Bill Board

I don’t have a problem with her (or any anchor) interrupting a guest who goes on and on without answering the question but Megyn is as bad as O’Reilly sometimes, interrupting almost immediately, that’s what annoys me.

        • DarkKnight2016

Because people at time immediately don’t answer the question.

          • Bill Board

That is not always the case. Just pay attention next time you watch her.

          • Isabella1709

Frankly Bill, I think you are totally wrong. Megyn is one of the better interviewers on any station. She knows the subject, and keeps guests on topic and is intimidated by NO one!

  • san rafael blue

What took them so long? Nine years an employee? Maybe she needed that much of an apprenticeship, OR maybe a opening has just now become available. Who’s being ‘escorted’ out of the studio?

  • jazzerie

I’m a late riser and Megyn is on here from 10 am to noon. She’s who I wake up to and I love her coverage of the news. I’m going to miss her at that time!

  • Sue B

Megyn is a class act; attractive, smart and quick. She works hard and deserves a good upgrade. Harris Faulkner, in my opinion, would be a great choice to fill Megyn’s afternoon slot. She’s very good too.

    • betzinva

Amen to Harris! Her weekend anchor work is outstanding!

    • betzinva

Amen to Harris! Her weekend anchor work is outstanding!

  • mapache

This explains Greta looking for a job at CNN.

  • jeffofnh

Excellent! Love to see someone with backbone for the truth!!

  • Fredddd

One less show for leftist Shep????

    Hope so.

But Mediate reported Greta shopping CNN for a job, again with them…Maybe Megyn will take the 10 pm slot!?

But doesn’t really matter to me, I dropped my cable package, don’t watch the propaganda anymore….

  • http://kcender.com/ Kcender

Well i think she is losing viewers at 1PM the past week or so due to her ravenous coverage of the racial charged trial of George Zimmerman a Hispanic not a white man.
