Just how far into the swamp of moral decay will Planned Parenthood go? Take a look at their newest ad campaign:

Pro-life activist Kristi Burton Brown, who noticed the ad yesterday, is livid:

There should seriously be a prize for anyone who can come up with any sort of legitimate benefit that Planned Parenthood gives babies. How does Planned Parenthood help babies thank their moms? For what?

Planned Parenthood is forever talking about how it provides birth control. Right. A baby who was never born because her mother was on birth control is definitely going to thank Mom for that.

In some insane jump of non-logic, Planned Parenthood is attempting to convince women that their babies will “thank them” for visiting their local clinic. This is no better than Nazis posting signs of happy Jews, thanking the SS officers for the death camps – and the gas chambers in particular.

“Your baby will thank you”? For what?

https://twitter.com/Alabama_Lizzie/status/335064007566299136

There is no logic here. None. This is depravity in its purest form.

Reprehensible.

They don’t even provide help for mothers who don’t want to abort. PP barely provides pre-natal treatment, and they have absolutely no help for a woman after her child is born.

Now if you stop into a CPC, on the other hand, not only can you get free and reduced price pre-natal care, you can get post-natal help too! Heck, I’ve heard of plenty of CPCs that help women get jobs and pay rent, even.

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (which is what the ad is for) provides prenatal care and birthing classes. For which I imagine someone’s baby might thank her. (As with PP as a whole, most of the care they provide is affordable cancer and STI/STD screening — arguably keeping Mom alive and healthy could benefit her baby as well.) Don’t let the facts get in your way, though. (PP says your baby will *thank* you for being *aborted*! Orwell times Kafka!)

    • Chloe0990

Thank god at least one sane comment

      • http://whatandever.blogspot.com/ Osumashi Kinyobe

        No, it was not factual.

    • detroit19

Unfortunately, killing babies is their prime objective, even now, when, not only are there numerous preventatives, but when ‘unfettered’ (sorry, Jay Carney) access is unequaled: Total number of abortions in the U.S. 1973-2011: 54.5 million+234 abortions per 1,000 live births (according to the Centers for Disease Control)
      Abortions per year: 1.2 million
      Abortions per day: 3,288
      Abortions per hour: 137
      9 abortions every 4 minutes
      1 abortion every 26 seconds

      • Onyx

If it’s their “prime objective,” they’re easily distracted. Abortion services aren’t most of what PP does (or even close) in terms of services provided or money received; moreover, PP doesn’t provide the majority of abortions in the U.S. I’m assuming by “preventatives” you mean birth control. If so, it should comfort you to know that PP-provided contraception prevents half a million unintended pregnancies per year, of which an estimated 200,000 would be terminated. I don’t see how you can argue that eliminating or defunding PP would do anything but *increase* the number of abortions being performed.

        • Chris Jones

Planned Parenthood is the countries largest abortion provider. Save your insane logic for somewhere it will resonate.

          • Onyx

Most people that die of cancer do so while in hospice care. Does that mean we should eliminate hospice care, since it’s obviously increasing the number of people dying of cancer? Or that hospice care providers are delighted that people die of cancer?

The point isn’t whether PP is the organization meeting the need for abortions — it is, as part of its overarching mission of reproductive health service. But PP’s actions are demonstrably *decreasing* the need, and moreover, if PP went away, the need would be met elsewhere (perhaps less safely), as it still is now in most cases.

You can hate abortion without demonizing PP — they’re a symptom, not a cause.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=7011573 Beth Lott

Most of the people that die of cancer aren’t deliberately torn limb from limb by hospice care staff. If there was a hospice group that did that, we most certainly should eliminate it.

If PP stops doing abortions, we’ll stop demonizing them. Wanna shake on it?

Actually, they’re pretty much the main cause. The founder of PP (Margaret Sanger) pushed to get abortion legalized in the US.

          • http://whatandever.blogspot.com/ Osumashi Kinyobe

No industry kills off its consumership. That’s why Planned Parenthood plies girls with contraceptives and then lies about sex abuse of minors.

Their original name was the America ABORTION League. Margaret Sanger & her ilk got abortion legalized NOT to prevent “back-alley abortions w/ coat hangers,” but b/c there were too many Blacks for their tastes after slavery was abolished (although this was some time later). When it was illegal, most women getting abortions were White, but that was eliminating the “master race” (she was a racist eugenicist who spoke @ KKK rallies). W/ abortions, though, they figured they’d have a “quiet” way to kill off millions of Blacks & keep the Black population down. They sold the idea of abortion to Blacks as if it was good for them, even tried to work their way into churches and convince Black pastors to sell it to their congregations…but I digress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=02t3Wqg-4Iw

The #s for their profit %s is fudged, uses “creative accounting.” “Services” also include things like giving a patient a pack of birth control pills, so if they get 12 packs, that’s 12 “services.” Abortions are more like 12%, and each one is expensive. Their bc is cheap and often ineffective, so when the condom breaks or they forget their pills, PP is more than happy to have them come back to put a hit out on their unborn children. http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/politics/153699-exposing-the-planned-parenthood-business-model

Really, though, the percentages don’t matter. If your doctor offered asthma and allergy services, dental services, and genocide, do you really think they should still be in business, just because your allergies are under control…?

          • Onyx

Leaving aside the bonkers pseudo-history (Sanger focused on contraception, not abortion) and conspiracy theory (really, intentionally defective condoms?), we do agree on one thing. If you think abortion is murder, the percentages hardly matter. Many, many people don’t think it is, and in fact think the statement “1/3 of all women in the U.S. are murderers” sounds, well, a little nuts.

          • mike_in_kosovo

Sanger focused on contraception, not abortion

            Statement unsupported by fact.

The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it. – Margaret Sanger

We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.

PPRM is a group of about 30 centers. I didn’t say or assume anything about what other Planned Parenthood centers around the country do — it’s irrelevant. Hence the picture (of a mother and her healthy baby — not, like, a happy childless woman on the beach with a floating ghost fetus or something). And the text. And the whole thing, really.

“Mom, thank you for having me torn apart in your womb while I screamed silently. I’m now floating in a jar in Dr. Kermit’s office. And thank you Planned Parenthood for making my nonlife possible.”

  • Squirrel!

I’ve read the services they provide…. obstetrics & pediatrics are not listed! This is disgusting!

“Your baby will thank you!” – for not having to live under Obama’s corrupt regime?

Why does Planned Parenthood think they speak for the unborn?

  • American Avant Garde

Planned Parenthood has done more for women in the short time they have been around than all the Abrahamic religions combined. Keep your morals to yourselves.
