Sen. Ted Cruz continues to live rent-free in Harry Reid’s head … and it’s a beautiful thing.

After calling Cruz a “schoolyard bully” yesterday, Harry’s doubling down on the foot-stompery, pathetically pulling rank to remind everyone that Cruz is a junior senator — a “very junior senator”:

Harry Reid: Consummate professional.

No kidding.

Heh. It’s just no fun being Harry Reid.

He should feel intimated. After all:

  • FreedomFighter

Hey Harry, If Ted Cruz scares you, come in here and talk to us. We’ll set you straight.

  • CatHerder

Feeble Reid has the vapors, it seems.

  • HannahJK

Very junior should be as far as they go in that job. The old fart from Nevada needs to be put out to pasture.

    • capsnap

I think he should be put to work using his expertise in the senate–maybe like working in a garbage pit.

    • 3seven77

Well old bulls get sent to the glue/hamburger factory…. just sayin’

  • NixTyranny

Sen. Reid, the “very senile cowboy poet from Nevada.”

  • Stone Bryson

    Condescending… arrogant… disrespectful… asshole.

Or, to nutshell it… a Progressive.

  • bobbymike34

    • Gary Freeman

HE HATES HISPANICS!!!!!!!!! (using liberal logic)

  • grais

There should never be such a very, very senior senator. It’s way past time for Harry to go home and embark on a real career. The founders never intended that you spend your life sucking the life out of The US.

    • goldwater89

Harry’s been in the Senate longer than I’ve been alive. If only our Founding Fathers had had the hindsight to write something in the Constitution about Congressional term limits. Many of them spoke in favor of it though:

“My reason for fixing them in office for a term of years, rather than for life, was that they might have an idea that they were at a certain period to return into the mass of the people and become the governed instead of the governors which might still keep alive that regard to the public good that otherwise they might perhaps be induced by their independence to forget.”

      – Thomas Jefferson

“Nothing so strongly impels a man to regard the interest of his constituents, as the certainty of returning to the general mass of the people, from whence he was taken, where he must participate in their burdens.”

      – George Mason

  • Markward

I think Cruz should go back to doing things in the senate the old school (talking 1800’s) way and beat Reid with a chair. Also I maybe wrong but was it Jefferson or Andrew Jackson that beat someone in the senate with his cane?

    • Red Fred

1856 Rep. Brooks offered up a beat down to Senator Charles Sumner.

      • Markward

Interesting. I swore it was someone else. Oh well, I learned something new!

    • Shane Falco

      Or maybe a duel?

    • mickeyco

Closest I an find is Jackson and it wasn’t in the senate. Somebody named Lawrence tried to kill Jackson at an official funeral. He shot at him with 2 guns and both misfired. Jackson then beat Lawrence with his cane until people pulled Jackson off.

  • Tom Zeeba

Has Reid forgotten how he fawned over “the very junior senator from Illinois” back in 2004? He hasn’t stopped since.

    • Dick Fox

      Man love.

    • TocksNedlog

Was that when he said that Obama is “light-skinned” and had “no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one”?

    • Gary Freeman

Hell, Obama shows everyday that he still has the experience of a very junior senator.

      • Jeremy

he couldn’t get a job running a hot dog stand with his credentials.

  • Dick Fox

Harry is an even smaller man than I thought.

  • mickeyco

I have the feeling that Cruz is probably laughing himself sick under that cool exterior of his.

  • TocksNedlog

Shorter Reid: “Go away, kid; ya bother me!”

  • Spatial Awareness

OH LOOK!!! The dried-up, crusty, VERY SENILE ==> .@SenatorReid needs his Depends changed… Again…. Because @SenTedCruz or something……

  • Red Fred

Is Reid a former smoker or what? Sounds like he can barely get enough breath to whisper.

  • Marcus Cicero

Wonder when the Lying Lazy Larcenous senator from Nevada will accuse Senator Cruz of giving him a wedgie.

    • disqus_e2F2oUH6C7

      That will be tomorrow.

    • grais

Excuse me while I poke out my mind’s eye.

  • Lienathan

As a lot of people have already pointed out, “Career Senators” should become a thing of the past. Beyond that, though, Cruz was elected Senator by the people of his State (don’t get me started on how we screwed up the proper constitutional model of how Senators should be selected). He enters the Senate as an equal. He is the peer of the other Senators, not subservient to them. This high-school type ‘freshman/junior/senior’ BS in the Congress is part of the establishmentarianism that makes it so impossible to change anything there. When we elect a new representative the idea that they should kowtow to the “Senior members” should be an insult. Anathema. Cruz has every bit of right and authority to speak for his state as any other member, and all of those people who keep saying he owes deference to *anybody* need to have their motives examined, along with their head.

    • Vennoye

I should not have to tell you how much the people of Texas who voted for Ted Cruz think he is doing a GREAT job!! We are so happy to have him in DC!! Harry has already pilfered the public coffers enough…time for him to go home.

  • BoscoBolt

    Ted CRUZ 2016!

    • NixTyranny

For the good of the country, I wish Rand & Marco would agree with you and throw their Conservative weight behind Cruz who is demonstrating that he is in a class by himself.

      • mickeyco

It’s only May, 2013. Lots of time.

  • Jeff Carroll

Term limits would fix this verbiage.

  • tops116

More of that Harry Reid dignity we’ve come to expect.

  • BorderLine Guy

Time for a mandatory retirement age of 70 for elected politicians and judges.

  • DamnCat

That’s puttin’ the whippersnapper in his place! Way to go, Senator Methuselah.

  • Steve_J

After so many epic fails at calling out people while he’s in on the floor of the Senate you’d think he’d learn and stop his childish behavior.

  • © Sponge

The un-denying pederast from Nevada needs to stop whining. It’s not very becoming.

  • Gary Freeman

I guess Ted Cruz is junior compared to Reid. Seeing as how Reid was starting to use Depends around the same time Cruz was graduating high school. Yes, that was an old joke.

  • 3seven77

I have loathed “Dirty Harry” Reid ever since he b!tched about having to endure the sweaty, stinky tourists (aka The American People) touring the Capitol.

  • Lotte Lenya

What you are hearing, ya wuss, is called pushback. Get used to it.

  • twinx

Shizz, ANYONE is junior to a 200-year-old!

  • Jeremy

He is very afraid of Cruz and it shows everyday.

  • Jeremy

just a typical attempt to be a bully.

  • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

Someone should depants Reid in front of the Senate…but the pederast might like it.

  • nc

The great thing about Sen. Cruz – ok, ONE of the many great things about Sen. Cruz – is that he is probably laughing his short pants off at this stupid remark.

  • I M Free

lol! the very old and irrelevant senator spoke…maybe senator cruz was too much for him. can’t win on substantive issues, then demonize..that’s the traits of democrats.

  • JustLikeAnimals

@SenatorReid And you are the old, mentally-deficient, dumb-ass senior senator from Nevada. So what?

  • JustLikeAnimals

#howtedcruzbulliedharryreid Ted Cruz held Harry Reid’s head in a toilet and flushed it. “Texas water-boarding.”

    • Peyton

      Mind if I tweet these?

      • JustLikeAnimals

Please do. I would start a hashtag but I don’t know how. =)

  • JustLikeAnimals

#howtedcruzbulliedharryreid This morning, Ted Cruz gave Harry Reid a wedgie at recess.

  • Peyton

Pick a fight with Ted Cruz and you’ve picked a fight with Texas.

  • Peyton

#howtedcruzbulliedharryreid Stuck him in the congressional lockers

  • JustLikeAnimals

#howtedcruzbulliedharryreid Ted Cruz stuck Harry Reid’s tongue to the freezing Capitol flagpole.

  • JustLikeAnimals

#howtedcruzbulliedharryreid Ted Cruz hit Harry Reid in the head during dodge-ball.

  • Herman LaClair

Progressives continue to be the nastiest of the nasty…why are they so miserable? Reid always looks like he just sucked on a dozen lemons.

  • JustLikeAnimals

#howtedcruzbulliedharryreid Ted Cruz filled Harry Reid’s tea glass with apple cider vinegar. (Which explains the look on Harry Reid’s face!)

  • MSM

It’s bad when you’re bullied. It’s worse when a senior is bullied by a freshman. At this rate, even the female senators will be stuffing Harry Reid in a locker.

  • Richard Jefferies

Hey knuckle-head, Ted Cruz is a Senator from the State of Texas. You are a Senator from Nevada, that’s as far as it goes, pal. Sorry you don’t like it, but buck up little camper. Frankly all your parliamentary reindeer games sicken me.

  • Dave

Aaah, a Republican who doesn’t bow down to the Democratic Overlords is cause for concern amongst the elitists in D.C. Give ’em hell Ted!

  • ReeFungorio

I don’t recall libs ever advising the poor bullied to do whatever they can to provoke their bullier. I wonder how many times he used “very junior” when speaking about Barack Obama?

    • Richard Jefferies

Just remember how junior Senator Hillary Clinton got on the floor with a newspaper screeching “What did Bush know, and when did he know it.”

  • Malmatik

    Then what has Barrack Obama?

  • porgiefirefighter

Is that boy Ted gettin’ under your skin there ol’ Harry.

  • NickGranite

He’s one of two Senators representing one of the largest States in the union Harry. What’s his seniority have to do with it?

  • I M Free

cruz scared old dirty harry. MAKE MY DAY!

  • Jay Stevens

I did not realize that we Texans had three senators. We apparently have a senior senator, a junior senator, and a very junior senator.

    Who’da thought?

  • KansasGirl

I want to know how Harry became so rich.

    • Roto

You learn practical business skills growing up in a whorehouse :-)

    • Kaya Hund

Lots of money out there in the desert of Nevada. Casinos full of cash — lots of relatives who can receive perks, land deals, etc.

  • People Corporation

He likes boys, a guy at Bain Capital told me, so it may be a creepy compliment.
