Well, whether they like it or not, simpering leftist Chavez admirers officially have something in common with a big oil company. Citgo, headquartered in Houston, may be owned by Venezuela’s national oil company, but that is no excuse to use the American and Texas flags to pay tribute to a monster.

Just disgusting.

For shame.

Fix this, Citgo. Now.

Msg to Citgo: If you want to fly your company flag at half staff, that’s your right but raise the American and Texas flags to their proper position you ignorant tools.

    • SpinMeNot

Meh, if BHO doesn’t understand the flag code, we can’t really expect a company that worked in conjunction with BHO and Tio Hugo to deprive Americans of wealth to get it right.

      Just sayin …

  • TomJB

Hmm. I stopped buying gas at Citgo years ago. Maybe now I’ll have to start using their restrooms and leave without flushing after a class 2 download.

    • PatrickHenry338

      Thats the spirit!

    • http://twitter.com/Gator_Country Stephen K

At most of the Citgos I’ve been in, the restrooms are so nasty that no one would notice.

    • TracyJean

After Chavez’s performance at the UN back when, all the Citgo stations in my town disappeared within a few months – I’m in a suburb of Dallas

Let Citgo go belly up like Chavez.

  • https://gigglescreativecorner.com/Production/ E L Frederick

Haven’t shopped at Citgo in years, won’t start now.

I remember when the Green Bay Packers put the American flag at half-staff after the death of Reggie White. The Packers then learned that only a governor of the president of the United States can allow a U.S. flag to be at half-staff.

    • SpinMeNot

I don’t think they have seen them in years, so you can’t really say they’ve lost them.

    • prlgrl

They are owned by Venezuela. They prolly had security guards ordering it at gunpoint…

      • SpinMeNot

But Hugo was a man of the people, he loved .. what he could take from them.

  • salvagesalvage

It’s so weird the way wingnuts like some tyrants and hate others.

Pinochet was as bad if not far worse yet wingnuts love him.

    • Ntr

Do you even have a clue of what you’re talking about? I’m guessing no. Pinochet was horrible, as was Chavez…but i’m guessing you feel a kinship for Chavez and, like most mindless, white lefties, you wish he would’ve went further (meaning treating his people even worse for collectivist pursuits).

Although, i take it you found a new word, wingnut and your using it quite “liberally”. Here’s another one for you:moonbat.

Just look in the mirror for the perfect example.

      • salvagesalvage

Ha! Ha! Indigent wingnuts, they’re pretty funny.

Pinochet of course was allies of both Thatcher and Reagan two wingnut demigods.

I’ve never quite gotten why winguts are so rabid over Chavez, oh not wait, didn’t he say mean things about Bush? Was that it?

I know they like to say it’s a human rights thing like above but like all their outrage it’s always selective. They cheered torture in Iraq, the bombing of wedding in Afghanistan and all the drone strikes.

They still cheer them, begrudgingly because it’s Obama doing it now. They probably think that Obama doesn’t really mean it when he kills Muslims, just part of his cover and continue plans to destroy America from within!

        • Ronald

It’s amazing how people will look the other way as long “their guy” is the one doing the thing they generally rail against when the “other guy” does it.

          • AdoEdem

Leftist wingnuts are just power-mad, narcissistic pseudo-intellectuals. Par for the course for the lefty wingnut mental midget.

          • SpinMeNot

Ok, well there we have it. AGW must be real — I agree with Ronald.

            *hat-tip*, well said.

        • SpinMeNot

What is truly amazing is that you take the time to prove that you don’t know what you are talking about.

Pinochet was the guy in charge of a country when both Reagan and Thatcher took office. So the fact that BHO and his office support Iran’s government, rather than the people of Iran would therefore be proof of BHO being a Muslim Tyrant?

For the record, you realize that the Qu’ran and various Islamic teachings actually encourage lying, when that lying will help expand the influence of Islam. And news flash for you, BHO hasn’t killed a single Muslim, ever. Its easy to tell other people to go die, when you are sitting in the Oval Office. At least is for BHO. I seem to remember a recent President giving up golf, because he felt guilty over doing something he enjoyed, purely for the enjoyment of doing it, while he was ordering the best and bravest of Americans into harms way. I don’t like a lot of things about GWB, but at least he never claimed false valor.

You really are an incredibly poor debater.

          • salvagesalvage

The endless duckspeak of the babbling wingnut, how much of it does it truly believe? How much of it is it assuming is right? Does it care?

          • SpinMeNot

Well, given that I’m providing facts and you seem to be masturbating with one hand and typing with the other, no, I don’t care, at least about you or your lame ass opinions. As I said yesterday, we understand this is the only way you can feel good about your miserable existence.

          • salvagesalvage

Ha! Ha! Yes! I am miserable and making fun of wingnuts is my only joy!

        • 1SkepticalChick

          “Indigent wingnuts”
You should look those big words up before you try to use them.

    • SpinMeNot

So, here we ago again, the useless idiot crawls out fron under his rock. Please answer the following questions or prove to all that you don’t know what you are talking about:

      1) What conservatives leaders of today supported Pinochet, Allende (who was likely going to be much worse), Nixon’s actions, or the CIA actions? Your usual “all of them” is a lie, and we are tired of it. Please be original.

      2) What political party controlled the 90th and 91st United States Congresses. What form of oversight was exercised over the CIA in Central and South America from 1963 to 1973? Was that control centralized, distributed, structured or haphazard?

Are you even old enough to have any first hand knowledge of what went on in Chile? You realize that under LBJ the CIA got way out of control, and that Nixon did nothing to stop remedy the situation?

You are real brave on the internet, making lots of noise — guys like you make lots of urine when they mouth off in public — we understand this is the only way you can keep your pathetic life from seeming to be completely meaningless.

Keep humping your coconut, even your right hand doesn’t like you much.

      • mdtljt

…what YOU said, Spin…and said well, my Friend…

        • SpinMeNot

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words.

      • 1SkepticalChick

        ^^^^ YES!!^^^^

        • SpinMeNot

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. Its good know that at least two of you don’t think I’m a crazy old coot.

      • SpinMeNot

A few thoughts occur to me while I’m looking for @salvagesalvage:disqus reply … its not here, and @salvagessalvage a euphemism for “junk man”?

  • Ntr

CITGO should face a massive fine…in the billions over this.

  • Peyton

    Time to Boycott.

  • CatHerder

Did anyone explain to the station manager how horribly inappropriate this is? Please tell me someone cared enough to do this.

    • SpinMeNot

It wasn’t just the station, it was the HQ. I worked at a company where the facilities people and the liberal management hated me, every time they violated the flag code, I was all over them. They once asked me, “Why do you do this, nobody else here cares?”

I’m betting at least of few of you can guess my answer..

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/KDX6MKQ3V5OZ3RG5FXUQIAJ5DU John

Hugo’s Citgo has been on my “no-buy” list for years.

  • lonestar

Isn’t this against policy? I will never buy from Citgo. Good thing my side of the state if filled with Valero stations.

    • SpinMeNot

A good choice — a Texas based company.

I make it a point to get gas from Valeros. One I use regularly is owned by a young Iraqi, he and is wife are great people. Their daughter is going to be a heart-breaker in a few years.

  • Rich

if i had seen that i would have got out of my car and raised that flag back up to is respectful place.

  • disqus_e2F2oUH6C7

    BOYCOTT Citgo stations nation wide.
I’m sure there are other gas stations to buy from.
