Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was on Capitol Hill today to testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Benghazi. But — shockingly — the focus quickly shifted away from Benghazigate and onto sequestration:
Because pushing a faulty budget deal is far more imperative than investigating the deaths of four Americans.
If this hearing was designed to draw attention to government incompetence, mission accomplished. Instead of addressing the murders in Benghazi, the Democrats used this hearing as an opportunity to pressure Republicans into approving Obama’s crappy budget deal. Is this real life?
We’ve already got third-rate palace-guard politicians covering up the truth.
Indeed. Benghazigate, sequestration … what difference does it make?
