Hysterical gun-grabbers maintain that disarming the public will put a stop to senseless violence, but history proves otherwise. As Libertarian Twitterer Julie Borowski points out, countless lives have been saved courtesy of the Second Amendment:

The Left’s demonization of guns and gun owners is not only unfair, but it’s downright irresponsible and dangerous. The Second Amendment indeed protects our right to self-defense and selfempowerment, and our government would do well to remember that.

The Utah shooting: the mall was Trolley Square in Salt Lake City, but the off-duty officer was from Odgen.

His name was Ken Hammond, and a short time after he was hailed as a hero in stopping that shooting, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail having pleaded no contest to a class A misdemeanor charge of sexual battery.

Background from Deseret News: “Hammond was originally charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a 16- or 17-year-old, a third-degree felony, but struck a plea deal with Weber County prosecutors. In 2005, the officer responded to a disturbance at an apartment where a 17-year-old girl had been staying with her friend. He ran background checks and left, but returned two hours later.

Prosecutors said that the girl performed oral sex on Hammond, at the encouragement of others at the apartment.”

Assuming that the information you posted, is correct:

Do you have anything to say with relation to the shooting incident referenced – or is this “throw anything at the wall” day ?

No, the left is about discrediting individuals their opposition holds up as note-worthy, while ignoring the numerous indiscretions, foibles and follies of their own side. It is what their prophet Alinsky taught them, while they awaited the coming of their lord and messiah … can I get a … oh wait, never mind, there are ladies that read this stuff.

        I know, I’m a racist , blah-blah-blah yada-yada. Meh.

That’s nearly as relevant to the article as this little nugget:

Barack Obama, who is about to sign executive orders for gun control, including banning the purchase of gun for people convicted of using controlled substances, admittedly used to smoke weed and do coke.

To anyone on either side of this debate.

Make reading ‘The Armed Citizen’ section of ‘American Rifleman’ magazine a priority perusal. You may surprised how many “ordinary citizens” and “everyday people” stop events from turning tragic, yet go (deliberately) unnoticed by the media.

No, gun grabbers. The magazine will NOT burn your hands or eyes. Though it may begin to open them.

First section I read every month … good call!
