Well, wonder no more. While, oddly enough, Obamacare contains a provision preventing the government from collecting information about individuals’ “lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition,” President Gun-Grabber may have found a way around that inconvenient little snag — by having doctors do the dirty work:

A convergence of Obamacare and gun control? What could go wrong?

Of course they will.

Pardon us for asking, but why is this any of doctors’ business?

Meanwhile, a little reminder about The Lightbringer’s commitment to our fiscal health:

Priorities. Always.

For even more WTFery, BoA is not allowing people to use their own money to purchase guns or ammo with a BoA credit/debit card.

The doctors don’t have enough time now to discuss your health issues, do you really think they are going to take the time to ask you about your guns?

    • Jazzee

yep and go ask a cop afterwards to fix your broken nose right???? doctors have a job let them do it end of story

  • $7610427

If asked…I’ll just lie. Like I already do about how much coffee and alcohol I consume…and how much I exercise…and how much sleep I get…

  • Fire and Adjust!

Executive Order 16: Clarifies that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors from asking their patients about guns in their homes.

Executive Order 16 also does not prohibit me from telling my doctor where to stick his head after he asks that question……………..

    • JustLikeAnimals

So now we’re down to wasting the Presidency on issuing Executive Orders to tell us about things that don’t exist? Woah!! That’ll definitely put a stop to all this violent crime!!

This ass-clown is pathetic. He hasn’t a clue as to what his job really is, nor any idea of how to do it. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a leader.

      God save this great Republic.

    • Jazzee

I heard it does state that in obamacare that doctors are not required or ordered to ask ..so now he changes it???? it is none of their business shut up obama

If a doctor asks you about your guns, tell them to first answer your question; “What is your wife’s (husband’s) favorite sexual position?”

When they say it’s none of your business, tell them the same about what goes on your house. (although, Men, wait until the prostate exam is done…especially if Doc has large fingers. just sayin)

    • JustLikeAnimals

hehehehe…..Guys used to ask if they could ride my Harley and my standard reply was, “Can I f&^%$#k your wife?”

    • Jazzee

  • Steve_J

It’s interesting, having Doctors check on the guns owned by their patients and having gun dealers check on the mental status of their customers.

  • grais

I’m sure those who own guns illegally will answer honestly, too.

  • http://twitter.com/stupid_republic Stupid Republic

So if my physician asks, and I tell him to fornicate himself with a 4-iron, can I count this as rendering medical advice?

    • http://www.theconservativevoices.com/ dmacleo

nope, you’re a golf pro at that point and consulting :)

    • Jazzee

      LOL LOL

  • Garth Haycock

My doc and I talk guns all the time. We’ve even hunted together. He’s never rat me out as Obama wants him to do, because blood is thicker than the ink in Obama’s pen.

    • Jazzee

don’t be so sure………….cuz old doc may lose some perks if he lies to king obama

  • lbeacham

The unintended (maybe not) consequence: Doctors will perceive additional liability if patients involved in shootings were not priviously identified as potential risks. Conversely, patients charged with gun violence may try to blame medical proffessionals with malpractice if their risk condition was not diagnosed and reported. Lawyers will have a new market to tap into and exploit. This requirement for doctors to divulge personal info with police will be abused.

What happens if your doctor asks and you tell him/her you refuse to answer?

    • JustLikeAnimals

Nothing. But more appropriately, I’d simply tell him or her that I’d prefer they stick to taking care of my health and not my personal safety and security.

  • stuckinIL4now

Obamacare may not prohibit doctors from “asking” but you don’t have to answer and it does prohibit them from documenting any information. Obamacare Senate amendment 3276, Sec 2716, part c is titled “Protection of Second Amendment Gun Rights” and has several provisions re: guns and medicine. Doctors are prohibited from collecting or documenting info or data re: gun ownership, insurance companies may not determine rates or eligibility for insurance based on gun ownership, and individuals are not required to disclose their ownership of a gun or any info related to it. So I think there are conflicts and contradictions in Obamuh’s claims. Oh, and the amendment was approved by gun owner Harry Reidiculous to appease the NRA.

    • JustLikeAnimals

It’s actually a stupid thing to even bring up, much less put into a Presidential EO. You could make a mile long list of the things that the “Affordable Care Act” doesn’t prohibit your doctor from doing. What’s the frekkin’ point of that? It doesn’t necessarily equate to your doctor doing something just because the ACA doesn’t prohibit him/her from doing it. It’s a stupid, mindless, empty pronouncement. But what else were we expecting from this ass-clown?

  • Rob G

Doctors kill more people every year than guns ever did. Remind your doctor of that little fact if he/she ever brings up guns in the home.

    • JustLikeAnimals

I’ll just tell him to come sneaking around my house uninvited after 11 pm and find out for himself. =)

      • Jazzee

I love your answer!!!!!!!!!! may I use it???????????????/

  • JustLikeAnimals

Can we get an executive order to psychologically evaluate the raving lunatic who currently occupies the White House? He apparently has some real control issues and he likely represents great danger to not only himself but to the rest of us as well. Seriously, can we get a 72-hour psych-hold on this egomanical turd?

  • Deepa

Time to realize that now Doctors are the new thought and treat them accordingly, Just lie. Lie about everything. Make their stats useless.

    • Jazzee

or tell the doc ‘hang on I need to go check how many guns are in my tank’ and feed the parkin’ meter

  • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

This is another way for the government to keep track of you. Obamacare requires a chip to be implanted in your skin, which will contain all your medical history and whatever else the Gov. deems neccesary.

  • Poopiekins22

    “Guns? What guns?”

  • Goldenah

Dr: Did you vote for Obama?
    Patient: Why, yes, I did!
Dr scribbles note: Mental health checkup needed….

  • Grumpa Grumpus

As I don’t own a Battleship; nor a tank, mortar or howitzer, I do not own a gun… as for keeping any of those items in a house, well, it would have to be the size of Algore’s(sic) to even fit. Although flooding his sunken livingroom would at least allow you to float the Battleship…

For those Proggies having difficulty remembering that “guns” aren’t firearms, I offer the following Army Teaching Rhyme:

“This is my rifle! (action: presents rifle)
This is my gun! (action: points to pants zipper)
One is for work! The other for fun!”
    ? Army saying, circa 1941.

  • Jazzee

anyone who would tell a doctor he/she has weapons or not is beyond stupid
it is NONE of their business unless they want to share if they have guns? locked up? how many children? trained to use? eh DOC??????
shut up and go away obama we are done with you arrogant piece of work
